Ordered a pair AND both were broken right out of the box. One had the magnet rolling around in the case and the other sounded completely blown. Crutchfield was awesome and shipped 2 new ones right away. One of the replacements made a clunk noise like the speaker frame isn't bolted all the way. Can't make this stuff up. Either UPS etc is kicking the boxes around like footballs or Rockustics has a morale/quality issue at their plant. Either way, it is disappointing to say the least. At this price, the packaging should be upgraded. The spray foam is very thin on the bottom and one hard drop is all it would take. After all of the shipping frustrations, I wired both of them up and they sound phenomenal. They have a very heavy, composite case that generates a nice bass and keeps the sound crisp and clear. The midrange detail is excellent. Worth the money if you can get them to show up intact.

Excellent speaker, my pair have been sounding great for years, I was wondering if I could get my pair refurbished?

Great rock speaker

Ok, I just installed 2 Octorock-S behind my pool waterfalls. Wow, what a difference over the ones I had back there. My old ones were a different brand and 6". The Octorocks get much louder, clearer much crisper sound quality with noticeable bass over my old ones. So far would definitely recommend. Lets see how long these last, my previous rock speakers only lasted 2.5yrs. I expect these will last much longer.
