Great bass without overdoing the sound system.

We had a prefabricated box that came with some super low quality subs when we bought the truck. We didn't know what kind of speaker we needed, just that we wanted a quality speaker that wouldn't overwhelm the sound and create vibration and rattling throughout the truck. We messaged the awesome people at Crutchfield and we shared pictures, dimensions and what we were looking for and he found the PERFECT speaker. The bass is perfect, and elevates the sound to a whole 'nother level. Super happy with the quality of both the speaker and the sound.

Sounds great under big power

Took a chance and ordered this Hertz 12" 4ohm single voice coil 250 rms and peak 1000 watts. Well I installed them into my pro built big aero port box. Giving them around 350-400 watts each after they broke in. For the money, these are great sounding subs, no popping even when I give them a hard 2-3 second burst of my amps on my singer's high powered alternator's juice ??. They have so far impressed me as I am an old school installer from the 90's. Bass!!!

Pros: Sound good low power Sound good high power Don't play high power for more than a few seconds at a time , or they start smoking.

Cons: Look like cheap subs Very Light and feel like cheap subs
