Bluetooth Controller/Receiver: The Hertz HMR BT is a universal Bluetooth controller/receiver that's designed to work with most Bluetooth enabled devices including iPhone and Android smartphones and tablets. This all-in-one unit is designed to mount in a variety of vehicles and able to work with most amplifiers and powered speakers. The Hertz HMR BT is ideal for use in boats, RV's, ATV/UTV's, side-by-sides, cars, or trucks.

Bluetooth Music Streaming: The HMR BT Bluetooth controller/receiver allows you to stream music directly from your Bluetooth-enabled Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, and other Bluetooth compatible devices to your vehicle's existing stereo system. You can operate basic playback functions (such as Volume +/-, Play/Pause, & Previous/Next Track) from the HMR BT's push-button controls. Featuring Bluetooth 5.0 technology, the HMR BT supports aptX HD high-quality streaming, supports A2DP/AVRCP playback, and provides up to 30' of Bluetooth coverage.

Audio Output: The HMR BT features a pair of RCA audio outputs that connect to the analog audio input of your amplifier or powered speakers. You will need a stereo RCA cable (sold separately) for connection.

Push-Button Controls: The Hertz Bluetooth controller/receiver features push-button controls which allow you to power the device On/Off, turn the Volume Up/Down, and operate basic playback functions (like Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track) of your connected Bluetooth audio device.

Mounting: The Hertz HRM BT is designed to mount directly to a dash or console panel using the 4 provided screws. A 1.76" diameter cutout will be required for the rear section of the controller/receiver and the built-in wiring harness. The mounting screws get installed through screw holes in the front panel corners and a snap-on trim ring hides them for a clean look.

Wiring Harness: The Hertz HMR BT can operate with vehicle voltages ranging from 8V to 24V, making it compatible with a wide variety of vehicle types. The Bluetooth remote/receiver has five wires in its built-in 11" wiring harness. The Yellow power wire should be directly connected to the vehicles positive battery terminal, the Black ground wire should be connected directly to the vehicle's chassis where paint has been removed or the negative terminal on the battery, and the Red ignition/switched wire should be connected to the ignition wire on the vehicle. A second Red wire is provided to jumper power to an additional device. A Blue Remote Out can be used to trigger an outboard amplifier when the HMR BT is powered on. A female 3.5mm Remote In connector lets you use an optional Hertz HMC U1 wired remote control (sold separately). This allows you to control the HMR BT from an additional location in your vehicle or craft.

Optional Remote Control: The HMR BT is compatible with the Hertz HMC U1 wired remote control (sold separately). The remote is IPX7-rated. It offers push-button controls for Power, Source, Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track, Volume Up/Down, and Mute. Up to 3 HMC U1 wired remotes can be connected.
