Hertz Marine subwoofers deliver the same qualities you've come to expect from their automotive line: deep and responsive bass. This Hertz Marine HMS 12 S2-LD subwoofer can handle up to 500 watts RMS, and it's rugged enough to handle whatever mother nature can throw its way. The attractive multi-color RGB LED lighting adds style and functionality to any vessel.

Volume and versatility

This sub's polypropylene cone contains UV inhibitors to keep it from wearing out in the sun, and the co-molded Santoprene™ rubber surround provides plenty of accuracy during those hard-hitting bass drops. The marine-grade polymer-injected basket contains the sub's massive magnet structure and offers plenty of protection from the elements. Hertz Marine certifies this sub as being IP65 water- and dust-proof, and it's also tested for use in UV and salt-fog conditions. Corrosion-resistant connection terminals ensure solid hookups to your system.

The motor structure allows for extended cone movement, so your bass will be loud and low, yet precise and smooth. This versatile sub will work in a sealed or ported enclosure, but it's optimized for infinite baffle (free-air) operation, so you can mount it directly into a bulkhead if there's no space for a box. Add it to your existing system, or use it in conjunction with Hertz's marine speakers to create a powerful sound system that will really rock the waves.

A colorful companion

This subwoofer also gives you attractive RGB LED lighting that'll add style to your boat. Seven cool colors are available out of the box, but with an external lighting controller (sold separately), you can create unique colors that suit your boat and your style. The grilles can be easily removed and painted to whatever shade suits your fancy.

Hertz Marine Subwoofer: The Hertz Marine subwoofer is IP65-rated and meets ASTM-D4329 and ASTM-B117 standards for UV resistance and salt fog protection.

IP65: The Hertz Marine subwoofer carries an IP65 Certification which means the woofer is totally protected against water spray and jets.
UV Resistant: According to the severe ASTM-D4329 standards for UV resistance, all the materials used for Hertz Marine subwoofer have been designed to face long time exposition to UV rays.
Salt Fog: To satisfy the standards required by ASTM-B117, the Hertz marine subwoofer has been tested with massive salt fog spray to ensure a complete resistance to corrosion.

IMPP Woofer: The Hertz Marine subwoofer uses an IMPP (Injected Molded Polypropylene) cone injected with UV inhibitors and co-molded Santoprene surround. The motor and suspension design of the woofer is optimized for high-power, infinite-baffle operation featuring long linear excursion capability for tremendous output with low distortion. A progressive-design aramid fiber spider with silicone-insulated lead wires ensuring durability and constant performance over time.

Sport Grille: The Hertz Marine subwoofer comes with an integrated polymer sport grille that is non-removable.

RGB LEDs: The sport grille features built-in RGB LEDs that allow the woofer to white, red, green, blue, yellow, purple or cyan. There are 4 wire leads that may need to be hardwired - Yellow, Blue, Green, and Red. Based on which wire leads are connected determines the color of the LED lighting.
