High-performance speakers with LED light

Hertz designed their HMX Series 6-1/2” marine speakers to bring high-quality audio to any boat or powersports vehicle. These rugged speakers will handle up to 75 watts RMS, so power them up and they'll cut through the noise from your engine and the wind. The cool, built-in RGB LED lights will add a very nifty look to your boat, too.

Designed to perform

These high-performance marine speakers measure less than 3 inches deep, so you can install them in a lot of locations. They'll deliver maximum high-end fidelity when you're out on the water on running down a trail, thanks to big magnets, polypropylene cones, and a tweeter lens that optimizes off-axis dispersion.

Built-in LED light

These Hertz speakers bring something extra to the party — LED lighting. In order to control the multi-color RBG, you'll need an RGB controller (sold separately).

Ready for action

The speaker basket and grille are made from a rugged, UV-resistant polymer that stands up to water, dust, and mud, while the fixed grille protects the tweeter from both dirt and damage. An Aramid fiber spider, silicone-insulated leads, and Santoprene rubber surround also help keep these durable speakers performing at a high level. They're built for boating, with IP65 water- and dust-proof ratings, and they're also tested for use in UV and salt-fog conditions. They're also a great choice for a custom installation in any off-road vehicle that sees hard-core, all-weather use.

Marine Certified: The Hertz MX 6.5 S-LD coaxial 2-way speaker is marine certified with an IP65-rating, as well as meets ASTM-D432 standards for UV resistance and ASTM-B117 for salt fog operability.

IP65-Rating: The IP65-rating means the Hertz speaker is totally protected against low pressure water jets and fully protected from dust ingress.
Salt Fog Tested: To satisfy the standards required by ASTM-B117, the speaker has been tested with massive salt fog spray to ensure a complete resistance to corrosion.
UV Resistant: According to the severe ASTM-D4329 standards for UV resistance, all the materials used in this speaker are designed to face long time exposure to UV rays.

2-Way Coaxial Driver Design: The Hertz MX 6.5 S-LD marine speaker employs a 2-way coaxial driver design featuring a 1.4" PEI dome tweeter and 6.5" polypropylene cone woofer for dynamic, well-balanced sound out on the water.

1.4" PEI Dome Tweeter: The 1.4" PEI dome tweeter features neodymium magnet and acoustic lens for better off-axis dispersion and high SPL. The integrated sealed built-in crossover offers solid-state tweeter protection circuit.
6.5" Polypropylene Woofer: The 6.5" polypropylene long-throw cone woofer features a co-molded Santoprene surround and Aramid fiber spider with silicone-insulated lead wires ensuring durability and constant performance over time. The long-throw woofer also employs a large magnetic group encapsulated into a marine-grade polymer injected basket.

Fixed Sport Grille: The Hertz MX 6.5 S-LD coaxial 2-way marine speaker features a sports grille that is available in a silver or white finish. The grille can also be painted to match your boat.

RGB LEDs: The sport grille features built-in RGB LEDs that allow the woofer to white, red, green, blue, yellow, purple or cyan. There are 4 wire leads that may need to be hardwired - Black, Blue, Green, and Red. Based on which wire leads are connected determines the color of the LED lighting.
