These replaced stock speakers in my 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid. The were installed at their store in Charlottesville, VA. They have good clarity and mid-range and sound much better than the stock speakers. While I agree with others that there is not an overwhelming bass response, they do have more bass than my original speakers. Pleased with the purchase and installation.

Wow! Used these K 170's to replace the stock front speakers in my 2014 Kia Soul. You can IMMEDIATELY hear the difference in the tweeters! (I had to turn the treble EQ down on the stereo.) The overall sound and frequency range is noticeable in the woofers. Bass is more "tight" and has good "punch" compared to the stock paper woofers. Very good sensitivity! My front speakers now easily overpower the stock rear door speakers. Looks like I need to upgrade those, as well. ;) Highly recommend!
Pros: Price, Sensitivity, Quality, Construction, Performance.

John from WOODBURN, OR on 1/18/2025

Installing was easy after removing the rivets from the stock speaker brackets. The included wiring harness made it easy to connect to the factory plug. For the tweeters, I used the factory plug which I cut and soldered to the new tweeters. Before putting everything back on I wanted to test how they sounded. The tweeters had no sound coming out of them. The inline crossover on the tweeters were conflicting with my stock monsoon amp. So removing it resolved that problem. Overall I'm happy with how it sounds.
Pros: Good, clear sound
Cons: The inline crossover in the tweeters don't work with the stock monsoon amp. Removing it resolved the issue.

Using the factory head unit on 2024 Civic without the Bose system. Highs and mids good and clear, very crispy. Like most people say in the reviews, hardly any bass. These require lots of fine tuning from the Spotify equalizer and unit equalizer. Definitely no bass. Maybe an amp will add bass but who knows. I will say that a powered under seat amp would make this system perfect.

A High Value Package For The Money
Sam from Saint Augustine, FL on 12/15/2024
I was driving about a week ago when I noticed a distortion in the Bass response in the right floor speaker in my 2010 Scion XD. After searching online for a budget option, I settled on Crutchfield, especially considering the critical wiring harness and mounting adapter provided in the package, and, of course, the invaluable tech support from Lee. I chose the component version of the Hertz K-170 after initially ordering the coaxial version, thanks again to Lee for helping out on that and calming my nerves about wire splicing and general disassembly of the door panel. Some advice: Make sure you have plenty of time, as the first speaker you install will be a learning curve. After that, the next speaker goes more quickly. Good God, I was shocked at the deterioration (See photos) The door panel removal went well, and Crutchfield's suggestion of a metal drilling 11/64 drill bit was spot on, as you will have to drill out the old mounts. Fortunately, that went fairly quickly with a new bit. Once the rivets remains are out, check the bottom of the door panel for plastic and metal bits that may rattle and remove them. The tweeter mounts on the sail panel were what I was worried about, but using the mounting ring for the wedge adapters, with a bit of foam tape expanded the diameter and it sits firmly in the sail panel. I used 1x1 1/4 sheet metal screws to mount the adapter as I found the supplied hardware less than robust. Now, I
Pros: Great value for the money, Crutchfield has amazing tech support, even more value with free adapters, and harnesses vast improvement in sound.
Cons: The tiny bolts and nuts provided to mount the adapter were beyond frustrating, I gave up quickly and mounted the adapter with three 1x 1/4 pan head sheet metal screws which are far more robust.

These speakers kick ass. Now, once you install them, they will sound like garbage until they break in a little bit. I am about 3 hours into breaking them in, playing a little louder than normal, and they are really hitting the bass and highs well. Now if you want extreme bass get a kicker. If not, these will work. 2018 Kia soul base manual ac.

I installed these Hertz speakers to replace the horrible stock OEM tweeters and 6 and 1/2-in door woofers that came in my Ford Maverick. Install was simple and easy, these now make listening to music a lot more enjoyable. The highs sound incredible especially compared to the stock tweeters and I now have good mid bass / bass. I installed these speakers myself and took my time being sure to cover all the new wiring with Tessa tape so I don't have any new vibrations in my dash or door. I did not use a aftermarket amphitheses just the stock head unit and they sound incredible, I'm surprised how good they sound without a aftermarket amplifier added. In order for the tweeters to fit perfectly in the stock location I added the flush mount ring along with 1/8 in thick Tessa tape wrapped around the base of the tweeter. This allows the tweeter to sit flush without falling through the dash opening and be secure.
Pros: Easy to install. Good bass/midbass
Cons: Don't install themselves

Replaced factory front door speakers in a f350, non B&O. Highs are very good crisp and clear. Mid bass is poor and the mid highs and highs overpower for an unbalanced sound. I do have a kicker sub in the rear of the vehicle but can't mix the sound adequately to balance the mid high and highs from these speakers. I bought these Hertz speakers to replace the failed front factory door speakers in my Silverado, and what a fantastic upgrade they are. This was my first set of Hertz speakers after 20+ years of using other major brands of speakers and I have to say so far they punch well above their weight in this price range. I love the tweeters on these, very crisp and clear and not harsh like many other budget speakers.
Pros: Tweeters are very crisp and clear without being harsh like some other budget brands tend to be.
Cons: Wish the crossover was located a little closer to the tweeter to avoid having extra wiring to deal with, but not a big issue.

Bought these speakers to replace some Boston Acoustics previously installed in my 2007 Chevy 2500HD but one of those speakers had become damaged from an improper installation by a car audio store. I installed these myself this time,I also added more 2nd Skin sound deadener to 60% coverage from the 10% added by retailer/installer. At first they sounded really boomie but the tweeters were a bit crisper. After further investigation I also found out that the installer also didn't set up/ tune the speakers with the 4 channel Amp, the mono sub amp along with a Audio Control line output controller. Now these speakers sound fantasic. Great product first the money.
Pros: Great sound, value
Cons: As in all after market speakers, they definitely will help with mid-range, highs compared to factory speakers. But you will lose mid bass, depending on efficiency. To get the best out of these, one really needs to add an amp for after market speakers or at the least add a powered sub woofer.

Mark from Humphrey, NE on 12/30/2023
2019 Mazda CX-5
I should have listened to my gut and not bought these. Yes, they were on sale and my advisor recommended them to use with my factory radio since they will play reasonably loud with very little power. With that being said the highs are clearer and more pristine than the factory tweeters but kind of overpower the lows. There is very little bass even with the bass turned all the way up. I thought that maybe when I put the driver in the rear doors that that would help add a little more bass since there is not tweeter in the back seat since this is a component system. Sadly that is not the case. So, not only is there no bass in the front, there are not any highs in the back seat either. I do not want to return these since the installation was not very easy and I don't want to go through all of that work again. Even the screws that came with the speakers were to small for the adapters that I needed to mount these to. I had to get different screws and turn the heads down to mount these in the speaker brackets. I do not recommend these to anyone.
Pros: Clear Highs
Cons: Atrocious low end. Worst than the factory ones that I replaced.

Questionable Build Quality/ No low end
Adam from Atlanta, GA on 12/4/2023
2020 Subaru Outback
First, a qualifier: I work on mechanical watches and tinkers with my three cars every week. I understand when to apply pressure, and when a light touch is necessary. That being said, upon hooking up the first woofer in my Subaru Outback both binding posts snapped off the back plate while attaching the wiring harness. Both. I applied tape and they functioned properly, but that left a sour taste. I connected the accompanying tweeter and after testing a range of audio via 3.5mm, CarPlay, and terrestrial radio, I determined they were not adequate for my otherwise stock Subaru system (non- Harmon, no sub). I can't comment then on the range and balance of sound, however these woofers had no low end at all and the tweeters came across brighter than expected. Every system is different, and I wouldn't rate so low if the binding posts wouldn't have snapped with such ease. Crutchfield was great about the return. No complaints there whatsoever, and I will no doubt be shopping with them again soon, as should you.
Pros:
Cons: Build quality, shallow low end response.

I wanted to upgrade the quality of sound on an older 2002 S10 pick up. I didn`t know what exactly I should do to get the results I was looking for. Too many options to choose from at Crutchfield. So I spoke to a rep. She was fantastic. Took her time, asked me precise exact questions of what I wanted to achieve. She suggested these Hertz speakers. I was thinking of needing to spend more $$. But I listened and purchased these speakers. She was right on the money. I was looking for a rich quality sound, near to Bose as I could get. These sound great. Clear, no matter the volumes, crisp. Unless you are professional installer who upgrades for a living. I suggest you contact their staff, be honest and simply tell them want you want to achieve. Then follow their advise. You will not be let down. This was the second time I have called and taken their advise on 2 seperate different vehicles. An both times I have been very, very pleased. Installed these in a bronco sport base model. Much improved sound over the stock speakers. The dash tweeters the way I mounted required me to cut a hole so the dome cleared the factory dash piece. Not real hard with a dremel and it looks very clean. With this set of 4 speakers the biggest difference in sound was the tweeters. Very clean and clear vocals and highs. Plenty of sound without an amp. Plan to add a powered sub soon.

Limited response. Not a great factory replacement.
Steve from Albany, NY on 8/11/2023
2012 Honda Civic Hybrid
I had been looking for drop-in replacements for my factory speakers, one of which had a spider (the bit that centers the voice coil attached to the cone in the basket) that started to fail. Anyway, on installing them, these speaker seem to have a massive 5-6 dB bump around 2 kHz compared to the factory speakers. Also, as others have noted, there is not much in the way of low end. I've seen the support responses about break-in periods and how auto systems are tuned to the factory speakers. While those things are true as far as they go, the response on these speakers is so skewed that no amount of break-in or EQ is going to get them to where they need to be. As someone who has worked in the studio and in sound reinforcement for many years, I feel pretty comfortable in saying that the applications for these speakers are pretty limited. Certainly not useful if, like me, you are looking to just replace the factory speakers, but not go down the rabbit hole of subs, amps, equalizers, etc. Will be hopping on with support to arrange a return and talk about a more appropriate speaker for my use case.

I was wanting to just replace the factory speakers in my 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium while keeping the rest of the factory Sony sound system. After a conversation about what I wanted to achieve, my advisor recommended these. I followed her advice and purchased them. After wrestling with the wiring harness for my door panel I made an appointment with a local stereo shop for installation. Today I had them installed for $175 (not bad for two sets of components) and could not be more disappointed! The "bass" that these speakers are able to produce is horrible! I so wish I had never purchased these! I sincerely wish that I had just stuck with the worn out factory speakers, they sounded much better. I even had a friend list to them, he agrees that are terrible. The Crutchfield 60 day return policy is great but I'm going to have to pay the shop to remove them, and they threw some of the packaging away! I'll be interested to see what solution Crutchfield has for me, although I fear that I'm just going to be out of luck. This is my most regretted purchase ever!
Pros: Price
Cons: Bass reproduction is terrible, they actually souled blown

Significant Upgrade
John from ANNA, TX on 12/17/2022
2023 Mazda CX-5
I have a '23 Mazda CX-5 with the non-Bose 6 speaker system (it's really 2-way components up front with full range in the rear). I replaced the stock front components with these. I was a little skeptical given their low price and some mixed reviews, but it seems there are very few options for my SUV, so I took a chance. I was even more skeptical when I realized the stock tweeters "appeared" to be more robust than these, which are much smaller and more lightly built. I was wrong. Installation wise, since the tweeters are smaller with no available speaker wiring adapter, I took my time. Turns out some hot glue worked well to secure these in place. I cut down the long wires and moved the inline frequency filter closer to the tweeter and soldered everything into the car's existing wiring. Once I got everything connected and reassembled, I was very pleasantly surprised at how good these sound. The stock tweets required me to dial up the treble. These do not, and the increase in top-end clarity is significantly better along with a much better sound stage. My stock woofers were terribly weak in the low end, and these responded surprisingly well when I dialed up the bass even with stock OEM power. That said, they sound more like mid bass drivers. This worked well for me because I also have an aftermarket 10" sub in a sealed enclosure and these work in perfect partnership. I now have a system that, in my opinion, sounds way better than Mazda's more expensive Bose upgrade
Pros: Way better than stock
Cons: Some effort to fit the tweeters and the speaker adapter (for the woofer) also requires some mods (see my review on those adapters if you have a CX-5).

I bought these speakers to replace the front door speakers in my 2019 Hyundai Elantra. I wasn't sure of the brand, but after looking at the reviews, I took a gamble. Man was I way off...these speakers have no low end whatsoever and they sound like they're being muffled by a blanket. I'm hoping things change once I can install a better head unit, but right now it is painful just trying to listen to anything.
Pros: Price
Cons: No bass whatsoever...sound muffled. Wouldn't buy again

Perfect fitment into factory mounting fixture. If you have the means you can drill out the pop rivets used for factory fixture and reattach with 3/16" pop rivets. I soldered the supplied wires directly into the factory housing and used the factory plug to power them up. The tweeter required the removal of the original capacitor on the factory connector because they have an inline one on the tweeter.
Pros:
Cons: No instructions, owners manual shows a diagram, but no direction as to how to utilize the bezels provided and the both cracked trying to attach to the tweeters. I ended up using some black foam and superglue to secure into door panels.

Great Highs/Mids, No Lows/Bass
Matt from Morganton, NC on 6/5/2022
2020 Toyota Corolla
I'm happy, but at the same time let down with these speakers. Don't buy these if you are expecting any bass at all. I installed the woofers expecting at least a slight bass upgrade over the stock speakers on my 2020 Corolla and if anything these have less bass. That said these sound great and stay crystal clear even at max volume. They're also a bit louder than the stock speakers. I'm no bass head, but there's not even a slight punch when listening to rap or metal. I'm going to end up adding an 8" powered sub under the passenger seat to add some low end since my car has basically no low end at all. I think a small sub will really round out the sound profile since the highs and mids on these sound great. TLDR: Don't buy these unless you plan to get a subwoofer, because these provide pretty much no low end.
Pros: Clarity, Volume, Highs/Mids
Cons: No low end/bass

3 stars. I don't hate them but they're not a speaker I would buy again. The tweeters are too much. They're overly bright and fatiguing to listen to. Bass and mid bass are both very good. I see reviews complaining about the bass but I'm pretty sure the people who wrote about it didn't give the drivers time to break in. I'm running these with a Kicker Key 200.4 amplifier. Tried to adjust the gain for 14 volts (50 watts ) and they won't take it. Anything above 9 volts they start buzzing pretty badly. About 25 watts. My rear speakers take the 14 volts no problem.
Pros: Bass and mid bass response
Cons: Overly bright tweeters Can't handle 50 watts RMS

Read this if installing in a Gen 2 Prius
John from Portland, OR on 5/28/2022
2005 Toyota Prius
First of all these speakers sound so much better than the stock JBL speakers that came in my 2005 Prius. BUT!!! Do not pay attention to the Crutchfield instructions!!!! I know, they are usually excellent but not this time. 1) WOOFERS - do not remove the existing speaker bracket. Simply remove the 4 screws attaching the existing speaker to the bracket. Crutchfield will send you the Metra 72-9301 adapter. This will connect the speaker to the existing connector you pulled off the old speaker. This connects to a female/female connector built into the speaker bracket. If you use the speaker adapter from Crutchfield you have no way to connect the two male connectors. There are two nubs on the Toyota bracket that interfere with the Hertz speakers. I just cut them off. Turn the speaker until you get 4 holes that line up with the holes in the bracket. Put the 4 screws back in, tighten and you're done. No need to drill out and replace rivets. 2) TWEETERS - Crutchfield says to build a bracket, others will tell you to glue the new tweeters in. The Hertz tweeters come with a mounting fixture including a ring that snaps onto the face of the tweeter. Pop that in place and it will snap into the Prius housing easy as pie.
Pros: Great sound, easy install
Cons: Crutchfield instructions make it harder than needed.

OK. I get it. I'm old and backwards. When I started installing my own gear in the 1980's there was a veritable cornucopia of GREAT sounding speakers that didn't cost a lot. LOUD, CLEAR, WARM sounding speakers that weren't shrill or bottomless either. I installed these in my 2018 Mustang GT, stock head unit, no amp or sub, because, hey, the stock speakers gave decent bottom end, they weren't subs by any means, but they were okay, SURELY these highly rated Hertz speakers will beat the stockers, right? RIGHT? Uh, no. These things are SHRILL. The sensitivity Makes them LOUD, oh yes, and pretty clear too...good highs and decent mids. But bottom end? ABSOLUTELY bottomless. A kick drum or heavy bass line...they rattle like a tin can. Sigh.

I installed these in the front doors and dash of a GMC Acadia. Nemo from customer service suggested these. Since they dont have a crossover box to install, it is an easy way to upgrade the dash speakers at the same time. I used the old speaker baskets to mount the tweeters in the dash, since the brackets that came with it were to big. The speakers sound pretty good, they are lacking in bass. I was expecting a little more from component speakers in that area. The highs and mids are good. Definitely a huge improvement over stock. The instruction sheets were straight forward and easy to follow. I did have to call tech support for the dash speakers to find out with wire was positive and negative. Since it wasnt on the sheets. Tech support was great as always.
Pros: Highs and mids
Cons: Lacking low bass

Needs a good seal to maximize bass.
BRIAN from WAUSAU, WI on 10/7/2021
2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime
Really like these speakers as upgrades to the stock system in my RAV4 SE. Stock Pioneers are a joke, and these really helped the car out. However... The kit that comes with it, at least for my Toyota, isn't the way to go. Skip all that junk and just use the existing speakers as the adapter. Remove the cone, wire connectors to the existing cables, and VIOLA you have really REALLY nice sounding speakers on a budget. The key here is retaining all the Toyota foam surrounds on both sides of the speaker, helping it seal to the door and use that chamber for bass. When tightly attached using original speaker baskets as adapters, these do a VERY nice job. Still needs an under-seat subwoofer for the bottom, but you can get very close with this and a set of 165s.
Pros: Affordable simple upgrade to stock Unreal high and solid mids, some bass with a good seal.
Cons: No seal = no bass. Did I mention the bottom seems to be missing? Not entirely, but I am adding a sub still. Eventually. But for podcasts and light rock and medium volumes... these are really good.

The Hertz K170 speakers are built really well. Good material and nice magnet. The tweeters have a small crossover which is really nice being able to fit them in my 2021 Honda Passport A-Pillars. I would just recommend that you use these with an amp or replacing 4 ohm speakers. I went from 2 ohm to these Hertz and the volume level dropped a good bit. I am using the stock 540 watt Honda system found in the Elite.
Pros: Well Built: Sturdy / Great Magnet / and nice cone. I like the multiple hole patterns on the surround. Makes it easy for mounting.

2001 Toyota Sequoia
Put these as replacements into a 2001 Toyota Sequoia with the NON-JBL stereo system. They sound great as I am comparing them to the old, degraded, dilapidated, buzzy OEM speakers that should have been replace a long time ago. This purchase came with a kit that includes a wiring harness for each speaker and a mount for each speaker. Honestly, the instructions were very, very thin. You will need to use a drill to adjust the holes in the brackets a bit before they will mount to the doors. You have to try and line the speakers up with pre-existing holes on the mount. You may or may not need to drill one or two extra holes to properly mount the speaker. Four stars vs. five stars is due to the total lack of info about what the heck to do with the tweeters and how to connect and then mount them in this car. I have been looking for two weeks and there is simply zero info about this online. I did call Crutchfield early on to ask a few questions. Service advisor was nice enough but honestly, wasn't much help in the way of concrete left/right, yes/no information. For the price and the ease of install so far, it's a good deal.
Pros: Value, sound, kit
Cons: Tweeter vortex of no information stinks

I listen to a wide range of music and the speakers produce good highs, mids and bass. I have a small 2 seater car, these are the only speakers. I took some precautions when installing them by putting some sound deadening inside the door and then I sealed all of the holes in the door with sound deadening also, doing this dramatically increased the bass.
Pros: price, sound quality, high sensitivity
Cons: none

Very underwhelming
Will from Glendale, CA on 1/10/2021
2021 Toyota Tundra
Very underwhelming experience. The Crutchfield website recommended this speaker set among others for my vehicle based on my responses to their questions. I chose one of their suggested products expecting an improved sound, but I am really disappointed. My factory paper front door speakers were much better. I can't even hear these speakers. This is especially disappointing because II completely dynamated both front doors as part of the installation. This alone, should have noticeably improved the acoustics and sound quality. Huge let down. I'm not sure why Crutchfield thought these were an upgrade.
Pros:
Cons: Worse than base factory paper speakers

2001 Toyota Tundra
I bought these to upgrade the original woofers and tweeters in my 2001 Tundra. I did not believe I needed them but I already replaced the radio with a JVC 250BT and the rear woofers with the Hertz 170X, so I was on a roll. There is a big, noticeable improvement in the sound and quality of the music. I am not running an amp or subwoofers and this set up is fine for me. As far as the install, the woofers went in fine with little customization. The tweeters needed a 1 inch spacer to place the them further into the door panel. I used double sided tape and secured the spacer to the factory bracket and then used more tape to secure the spacer to the tweeter. It was wired red to red and black to black.
Pros: Clear, crisp sound.
Cons: None.

2018 Ford Expedition
Installed in my Ford Expedition XLT. The definitely sound better than stock speakers especially in the highs. Lacks bass, but can play louder without sound getting distorted. I have to turn bass way up and treble way down. The tweeters were easy to install in back door with just some hot glue using factory grill, but front pillar took some customizing using metal. Lake of bass was more noticeable with crutch field recommended sound baffles installed, once I removed the sound better.

4.5 stars - I wanted high sensitivity speakers that would get loud off HU power. Sound good for the price. Pioneer A series or my the image dynamics I got for $120ish sound a smidge better but wouldn't be as loud off of the HU. Not a bass heavy sound even with full dynamat. The wired in tweeter capicitor makes wiring install easy. Included tweeter mounting brackets work but aren't great
Pros: Volume off low power, install flexibility, Highs
Cons: Bass & midrange are average for the price

Nice Upgrade

Perfect upgrade to my existing front speakers for my 2007 Corvette. Due to its high sensitivity of 98.5 my JVC head unit could easily power up these speakers and with a good power handling of 70 watts RMS it is ready for an amplifier upgrade in the future. These speakers sound great at a budget price. I listen to wide variety of music from Country, Rock, POP, and Techno,, it sounds fgood or every genre.
Pros: Great sound, sensitivity, and power handling at a budget price
Cons: Cheap materials like paper cone and foam surround may not last very long

Excellent rear deck choice for the price.
Mazer from CEDAR FALLS, IA on 7/3/2020
2012 Honda Civic LX
These speakers were an excellent choice for the rear deck installation of a 2012 Honda Civic LX with a dedicated amplifier. Some reviews have commented on the dominance of the output of these speakers. This is to be expected if connecting the 4-Ohm woofer with the 4-Ohm tweeter in parallel, yielding a 2-Ohm load on the channel. If you're fine tuning with your amplifier, you'll come out way ahead of the game with the Hertz K 170's. The 2012 Civic required customization to accommodate the tweeter (this was expected). The rear pillar trim panels made for a great location and fitment, with ample wire routing options to connect everything up. Surface mounting rings provided in the box were used to achieve a nice visual integration. The tweeters round out the full spectrum in the rear of the vehicle, complemented by a down-firing subwoofer in the trunk. A bit more customization was required to fit the woofers into the Honda mounting bracket kit (provided by Crutchfield). Some minor trimming of the mounting bracket and the fitment was ideal, without needing to trim any of the Civic's rear deck panel. For the price, these are a great option.
Pros: Great sound.
Cons: The tweeter surface-mounting accessories provided by Hertz are a bit lacking for custom mounting options.

Great speaker for the price point. I was a little hesitant at first, but I was also on a budget. After the install I was happy I chose this set. I replaced the factory speakers on my Escape and kept the factory radio. I couldn't believe the bass from these, normally I don't expect much from a component set, it's mostly for the mids and highs but these things are pretty good on the low end as well. I added the Kicker Key 180 and WOW, that little guy really woke up the sound, was SUPER impressed with the end results!
Pros: Good with factory radio Great with a little amp

These speakers are (okay) if your installing a subwoofer with them. Seriously lack bass, and have a very over powering high range that almost hurts to listen to without EQ adjustment. Was pretty disappointed at first but adding a sub seems to have rounded out the sound okay.

By the time I got around to installing these speakers, after unboxing and looking them over, I had talked myself into thinking I had made a mistake and I wasn't going to like them. I was ready to hate on them fairly heavily. I was WAY wrong. These speakers sound amazing. Highs are crystal clear. Lows are accurate and defined, warm and smooth, with perfect separation. In the past I have had issues with paper cones not reproducing some forms of media very well. These speakers give extremely accurate reproduction of all media types. Don't let the entry level price frighten you away from these superb components. I would have given 6 stars but there are only five. If you don't like the way these speakers sound, you did something wrong.

Have to adjust to get proper sound.

2006 Toyota Tundra
Installed these in my 06 Tundra Crew Cab fronts, to replace blown components. At first I thought these were crap and other negative reviews are right, Highs unbearable and no bass from mid. After 2 days of thinking these are crap I decided to tune these with my receiver. I have a Kenwood DPX500BT pushing these and with right HPF and LPF cutoffs adjust now I can tell the difference. Before I was only able to go to 24 on volume before they got unbearable and distorted, now I personally max out at 30. That is loud enough for me and they still aren't distorted. My receiver seems to push them with no problem without an amp. True the mids don't have the big thumping bass but it is a mid woofer and it's doing the frequency it should be doing. I will be adding a under-seat woofer for the missing thump. After 2 weeks with these components I really do like them.
Pros: Really like how they sound after tuned. These are true component sets.
Cons: Can't just change these and think they will sound good plug and play style. You will need to tune them and adjust HPF and LPF to get correct sound.

Horrible speakers! After spending my hard-earned money on the advice of a Crutchfield representative in which I was informed these will be the "perfect fit and right speakers" for my musical needs. Installed the speakers which were a breeze to do, well to my disbelief they sounded absolutely HORRIBLE! The stock speakers sounded A LOT better than the "recommended speaker upgrade. Contacted Crutchfield again, and they replaced the speakers for Infinity Reference 6530cx and 6532ex.
Pros: NONE!
Cons: They suck! Stock speakers sounded WAY better than the upgraded speakers!

These speakers fit perfectly in my C6 Corvette and sound phenomenally better than the stock door speakers (8" woofer, and 3.5" squawker). It brought the Mid and High Tones to the front of the car which really add to the sound stage. The 6.75" Woofers fit easily into the 8" openings in the Door Frame with the Crutchfield Provided Brackets. The Tweeters fit into the 3.5" openings in the door panel with custom brackets made out of a sheet of ABS. I would highly recommend upgrading to these components in your C6 or any car.
Pros: Sound Quality
