Overview: The Audison Prima APBX 10 AS2 powered subwoofer features a 10" driver mounted in a sealed enclosure that's powered by a built-in 400-watt RMS amplifier. Constructed of thick MDF and covered in stylish black carpet, the APBX 10 AS2 powered subwoofer can provide pounding bass while taking up minimal floor space. Key design features include:

• He-Li: Audison's He-Li (High efficiency/Low impedance) technology features a high-efficiency amplifier that's perfectly matched to the low impedance (0.16 ohms) driver, and a non-switching power supply for the amplifier, providing a 90% efficiency level.
• 2S2: 2 Sides/ 2 Sounds lets you mount the subwoofer enclosure laying flat in in an up-firing position for more punch and definition, or in a down-firing configuration for increased low-end. The APBX 10 AS2 includes four mounting feet and hardware for down-fire mounting. The enclosure has 6.38" of height with the feet installed. Velcro pads on the bottom of the feet provide a no-slip grip on vehicle carpet.
• DBT: Dynamic Bass Tracking monitors the input signal in real-time, detecting peaks in the signal and adding extra power when needed. Combined with He-Li technology, the APBX 10 AS2 can provide tight powerful bass without distortion.
• SSP: Sub Smart Plug technology uses removable connectors for power/ground and the speaker-level inputs, letting you easily remove the enclosure from your vehicle when extra space is needed.

Control Panel: The connections and control panel is located on one end of the enclosure:

• Low-Level Inputs: one pair of RCA jacks can accept low-level signals; range 100mV to 4V
• High-Level Inputs: 4-pin Molex plug with 11" bare-ended wires provides the speaker-level inputs; range 200mV to 8V
• Auto Turn-On: 3-way switch;
  • Audio: can be used to detect low-level RCA signals when a remote turn-on isn't available
  • DC: can detect a 2-5V signal on the high-level inputs for activating the amp
  • REM: requires a +12V signal on the Remote terminal to activate the amp
• Phase: push-button; determines the polarity of the subwoofer; options for 0° and 180°
• Low-Pass/Bypass: 2-way switch; enables or disables the low-pass filter
• Gain: rotary dial; controls the amount of input signal; has a 100mV-4V range on the low-level inputs and a 200mV-8V range on the high-level inputs
• Low-Pass: rotary dial; selects the cutoff frequency for the built-in low-pass Butterworth filter; range 50 Hz to 300 Hz (@ 12dB/oct)
• Subsonic Filter: high-pass filter fixed @ 16 Hz with a 24 dB per octave slope
• Bass Boost: rotary dial; provide 0 to +6 dB of boost at 45 Hz
• Remote Control Port: 3.5mm port for the remote bass level control
• Pwr-Prot: status LED; lights Blue when powered on operating normally; Red if the amp goes into protect mode
• Fuse: one 30A ATO fuse installed; spare 30A fuse included
• Power Terminal: removable connection block with set-screw terminals; power and ground can accommodate up to 4 AWG wire (8-gauge recommended); remote input accepts wire up to 10 AWG (18-gauge is usually sufficient)

Remote Bass Level Control: The APBX 10 AS2 includes an HRC AP Subwoofer Remote Level Control that lets you adjust the subwoofer level from the driver's seat. Built-in mounting flanges allow the remote level control to be mounted underneath a dash or console with the provided hardware. A built-in 16' remote level control cable is provided, and is terminated in a 3.5mm TRS connector.
