the great: The picture is improved over the previous frame 65". The art mode is a very nice feature. You can load your own images via a USB port. The frame mounts flush (well 4mm from the wall) on the wall which makes it look great in the room. Not as great: I watch over the air broadcasts and changing channels is not easy. You have to go to an online schedule and find the station you are interested in or scroll one channel at a time until you get what you want. there is no direct access to a station from what I can find. I tried the setup from the Samsung app. I would do it manually from the TV if I had it to do over. the APP was time consuming and not as intuitive as it should be. So overall 4 out of 5

Pros: picture. Art mode

Cons: lacks direct channel access for over air broadcast

Great TV to blend into a living area

The 43 inch Samsung frame looks great above my fireplace. It has a sharp picture and can look like a real print/painting, although when viewing at an acute angle, the picture is not as great (probably due to the matte screen). I bought it as an "open-box" item from Crutchfield, and the TV looks perfect and works great. I would have expected to need to sign for it on delivery, but it was simply left at my front door, and sat there until I noticed the delivery notification email...which is a bit unsettling where I live. Overall - great purchase!

Pros: Looks great!

Cons: Picture quality when viewing at an acute angle. Software seems slow sometimes, and non-intuitive in some menus.

Great art feature, good TV

Bought this TV primarily for the Art mode. It does take some fine tuning to get it working the way you want but, once you do, it is super cool. We opted to upload our own pictures rather than subscribing or using the standard ones. They rotate every 15 minutes, random order, with a white "matte" and you can add a literal frame to it to make it look even more like a piece of art (our is teak). If you do not want a big blank screen on your wall, this is the 100% way to go. As a TV, it is solid if not at the same level as an OLED or even an older plasma. Blacks are reasonably black, detail is good, and with color balancing, it shows good rendering. With the matte screen, there is no glare or reflection so the picture is great day or night. Angle of viewing is better than previous LED/LCDs I've seen - it doesn't start to fade until you get pretty far off-center. The screen itself is super thin and the there is a single, very thin cable that connects it to a separate box that holds the power supply and ports. The result is a seamless installation, flat on the wall, with no wires or box showing (ours is tucked away in a corner behind a floor lamp - I forget it is there). Overall, if you want the art feature with a solid TV, this is a great solution, If you want the very best picture possible, this is not your TV but then again, you have to give up the art function. 4/5

Pros: Art feature, matte screen, flat mount, separate control box

Cons: Viewing angle not optimal, picture not as good as an OLED

Great TV! If you want to combine artwork with a quality picture this is a great option. I live in Florida and have a lot of light pollution, and the matte screen really helps. I have gotten many compliments on this this piece. I would recommend hiding your wires in the wall. Crutchfield has a solution it like $60.00 but it is deep at 17" so if you have the room in your wall, good option, if you want to surprise your guests that is a TV and not just large 75" artwork, hide your cables in the wall. If you want the latest and greatest TV quality this is not for you for the price point, but if like, you desire a dual-purpose piece this is an excellent choice.

Pros: See Above

Cons: See Above

Outstanding TV

We have several Frames in our home. We like the clean aesthetics of the design but love the ability to display artwork (we signed up for the paid art). Picture quality may not be totally cutting edge but it is excellent. Before coming across the Frames, we would have said having a TV in a public room like Great Room would detract from the overall design and atmosphere but no more, now it adds to it. Yes, you pay a premium for the capability to rotate art/pictures and the installation is more involved but it's completely worth it IMO.

Pros: Design, picture quality, installation more expensive/involved

Cons: Expensive

Good for a while, now a software mess

I have the 2022 version of this TV. Got it for the art mode, frame design and the ability to hide the guts of the TV in the wall. 2 years in and after some firmware updates, the TV is sometimes useless. It wont turn off, wont turn on, art mode works for a while then switches to something else. It went through a phase where the sound bar wouldn't connect, that seems to have fixed itself. But who knows if it will start that again. I have been unable to connect the TV to the smart things app - which is how you add artwork for months at a time. Then one day it works. The TV is just buggy. There's TVs with better features and screens for less. The frame gimmick ( which is great when it works) was whit sold me... It replaced a 2010 Sony Google TV that became software obsolete. Why do I think the same thing will happen to this TV only sooner. Ive had tickets open with Samsung, been on live chat, etc. The solution is always unplug it and plug it in. If its hidden in a wall like intended, that's an inconvenience. Im fighting with this TV today.

Pros: when it works as intended its great

Cons: see review. software that runs it is glitchy and hinders intended use.

Frame with hidden install

We were able to get a local custom framer to create a custom frame for our bedroom which makes it look so much less like a TV. I highly recommend the On-Q in-wall enclosure to hide the control box and the Sanus In-Wall Cable Concealer (otherwise you have exposed cables). https://www.crutchfield.com/p_717ENP1700/On-Q-17-Dual-Purpose-In-Wall-Enclosure.html. Highly recommend

Pros: Great picture; customizable frame

Cons: Professional mounting for the box is recommended

Dissapointing Mind Blowing Experience

Domenic from Orange, CT on 6/29/2024

Initially, I purchased a 2019 Samsung Frame TV 43" Model. Unfortunately, after only 4 years, it failed. Trying to get Samsung Tech Support to try to fix the situation was impossible. The One Connect Box would not power on and Samsung was not helpful. This was something Samsung Support was needed for and not Crutchfield. To fix it was not an option. Samsung does not allow one to purchase a new One Connect Box. Hence, I purchased a brand new 2024 model. It was not the easiest to install and a professional installer is needed. Yes, it looks fantastic on the wall, but there were many bad experiences. Samsung did not allow me to use the fiber optic cord that cost me $300 in 2019 that could be installed safely in the wall without a fire hazard; it was changed; plus, they do not offer a new one from 2021 models. Additionally, my beautiful metal frame from Samsung in 2019 does not fit. One has to purchase a brand new frame (bezel) for this model which is made out of cheap plastic and does not line up properly on the television. Samsung also charges extra for photos for your background. The television looks beautiful and is a showpiece on my wall, but that is the only positive asset. Picture quality is clear, bright, and adequate, but does not compare to more advanced models that almost look like 3D and for a cheaper price. If you truly need a special look for your room, this is an excellent option.

Pros: Fantastic Look - You will get many compliments and nobody will realize it's a television. 5 Stars for this category!

Cons: Extremely expensive, Samsung tech support is below par, difficult to install (need a professional installer for most part), picture quality is adequate but does not compare to higher level models for cheaper price, Bezels for frame are cheap plastic that do not line up (had to use scotch tape behind frame), tweaking remote control and settings is above average experience (Crutchfield can help with this), yearly charge for art work, and installing art work is definitely challenging!

2 units both with Wifi issues

5 stars for Crutchfield... 1 star so far for Samsung. On our second unit already with the same WiFi issue with both. TV connects to Wifi, then drops after a few days and will no longer find a network. Gone through every option to try and fix to no avail. First unit was replaced by Crutchfield without question with the usual excellent customer support. I went direct to Samsung with the second unit, which now requires a Samsung technician. Maybe still coincidence but seems this is an issue with the product. Unfortunate, as really like all other aspects of the TV.
