Great Customer Support
Janice from Hadley, MA on 6/15/2025
We love our new Samsung 55" TV. We aren't real tech savvy, so doing all the online stuff to set it up with our apps was a challenge. But we called Crutchfield's Help number and a great guy walked us through what we needed to do to get it all up and running. In the future, we will go to Crutchfield first, knowing how helpful they are in Customer Support.

Disappointing
Elizabeth from SANTA BARBARA, CA on 6/7/2025
50-50 on delivery/physical setup AND the tv setup: 2.5. The delivery was an amazing two days to California, on June 2, a day earlier than expected. I, not young, living alone, was able to get the TV out of the box and into the house. Concerned about dropping it in connecting to the heavy stand, I contacted a handyman friend who set it up, but he, although he owns a Samsung, was unable to do more than put it on the stand and on the TV cart. (His son had set up his TV, he said.) I tried for more than an hour, downloaded the app to my iPhone, but no luck - and no luck manually. So, it has sat unused now for several days and I am thinking about returning it (getting it back into the box will be a challenge.) So, 5 for Crutchfield delivery; and, not able to see a picture, 0 for picture quality. I am thinking of reinstalling my old 32" Samsung, also bought from Crutchfield in 2009 (!) It's outrageous to have instructions on a few pages (the Series 4 460 has a 45-page useful booklet, while this new, more complicated TV has a few 5x8 pages in light font, as though they were saving on ink! (haha) ...Also disappointing to not have any instructions on how to connect the older Sony DVD player, what kind of an adapter for the AV to ?HTML? .... The back of the new TV is streamlined so there are few inlets/instructions. I hate to have to return it ... and will try again, hoping there's instructions on YouTube. (I did initially call Crutchfield and was advised I could return the TV.)

Samsung QLED TV
Charlie from Mashpee, MA on 4/19/2025
I am very satisfied with my purchase of this TV. I worked with Randy at Crutuchfield and he was very helpful and answered questions to my satisfaction when I asked him. The status of the estimated delivery date was provided to me online and the TV arrived at the date it was supposed to. It was packed very well and between yesterday and today, we've set up the TV with our preferences and found that to be pretty straight forward. We happily find the TV's picture to be as described, i.e., very high quality. We are happy to have made this purchase.
Pros: See narrative above.

No different from a 3 year old model.
Robert from Cleveland, OH on 4/16/2025
I bought this TV to replace (it's in a different room now) an excellent Samsung 65 inch 4k QLED TV (QN90B) that's three years old. With all the great reviews I was expecting an obvious improvement in the picture of new one, but I didn't see much of anything different. Clearly this is a testament to the high quality of the 3 year old TV, but not a high value testament to the new one. If you can find a used 2022 QN90B in great condition for a decent price you should jump on it instead of spending $1800.00 on this new one. One caveat is that I only use our TV's for watching cable and for streaming Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, etc. The new set likely has some features I'd never use (for example Alexa voice control) so if those are things you value perhaps this new TV would suit you better than me.

Good quality and great price
Dennis from Washington, Inland Northwest on 4/13/2025
The television was delivered by a professional and friendly freight company. (5 stars) The 85" is packaged in a way that made it easy to install the stand without having to lay the screen face down. (5 stars) Crutchfield's competitive pricing, selection, inventory, product information, web interface, and customer service (5 stars) The supplied directions for setup are difficult to follow in places. (3 stars) The Samsung t.v. user interface is cluttered, but it may be that I can clean it up. I like our QN8DAA interface and may be able to configure them to be similar but presently they are not. (4 stars) The new remotes from Samsung are simple, easy to use, and are rechargeable. (5 stars) Although I need to tune the picture quality more on this QN90D, it is a bit better than our Q8DAA and I look forward to watching sports on the new t.v. (4.5 stars) The cord grooves on the back of the set looked promising but were just a frustrating time sink and I could not utilize them. They could be engineered better. (2 stars) I appreciate that Samsung's ios is able to support so many applications and is customizable. (5 stars)
Pros: Strong Application support such as Netflix, Prime, Max, etc... T.V. remote is easy to use and rechargeable. Large screen for a great price and easy to setup (35 minutes). Sharp picture quality and configurable.
Cons: Can have rainbow glares with black screen from room lighting.

2 thumbs down
Thomas from LOTHIAN, MD on 4/7/2025
Great picture. Horrific user interface. It suggests setting up with your phone as the easy way. Great except it got stuck and failed, so I had to set it up the manual way. It killed my rasperry Pi based retro pi gaming console. The picture wouldn't load when I connected it, and I was unable to to restore and had to rebuild the console from scratch. It doesn't have chrome cast built in. It keeps trying to get you to use the horrible smart phone app. I would never recommend this on anyone. My Sony Android TVs are so much better. I had no idea how much I was giving up with Samsung's truly awful user interface.
Pros: Nice picture Lots of potential
Cons: Horrific execution by Samsung No chrome cast Not intuitive

Mediocre printed direction, good TV with intuitive setup
Robert J from Philadelphia, PA on 3/18/2025
The television arrived quickly and was well packaged per Crutchfield's usual excellent customer service. Also the information about the TV on the website was very good and led to an informed decision to purchase. Although the supplied directions for setup and the remote were not very clear, the process was intuitive once Ingot the set up and running. Also, after playing with the remote for a while and making beginner's errors, I got the hang of it. I was slightly disappointed in the picture quality initially ...not as sharp as I had hoped although a measurable improvement over my previous TV. The set worked seamlessly with the Samsung sound bar that I also purchased as there is a dedicated eARC HDMI port on the set. After moving away from the preset picture settings and discovering how to use the remote to manually set my own contrast, color, sharpness, etc, I found the picture considerably improved for my taste.

Peter from Olney, MD on 2/16/2025
I was looking for a well-priced, quality 55-inch TV and reviewed several with several different vendors. When I finally settled on the Samsung QN55QN90D, I found Crutchfield to not only have the best price, but free delivery and the Crutchfield tech support. The TV arrived quick and well packaged. I hung it in my Sunroom, so it's not a completely dark room until evening hours. The TV is fantastic and handles the brightness during the day in-terms of colors and is equally superior in the dark room at night. I bought for TV during the day and movies at night. It does both great. I would highly suggest the TV and Crutchfield.
Pros: Quality Price Size Rechargeable as well as solar remote
Cons: Speakers are good but a soundbar is recommended.

Excellent product. I have owned Samsung TVs since the days of the plasma, and I am amazed at the continued evolution in technology, user interface, and the improvements in picture quality and sound that Samsung has offered. This TV replaced my 82" Series 7 UHD that I've owned now for nearly ten years, and I only replaced it because I felt it was time. This new model outshines the old in every single way.
Pros: Easy set up, simple menu navigation, picture quality and sound quality.

I've only had this TV for a week. Therefore, I can't speak to its longevity. However, it has an amazing bright and vibrant screen. Crisp clear contrast and hardly any noticeable motion blur. This TV is in a large room with much light, but there is no glare and it provides plenty of brightness. Such a noticeable improvement over my old Plasma. Although I have an AV receiver, the on board speakers a very capable in this large space. The remote is small, so keep a close eye on it, but it does have a solar panel and rechargeable batteries, as well. Prior to this purchase, I called Crutchfield and spoke with Lexi, who was very knowledgeable and helped me make my selection. As always, Crutchfield provides wonderful resources and wonderful staff, who are always professional, respectful, and who know their stuff.

Broken and Used
Kyle from Plano, TX on 11/24/2024
TV is great, but Crutchfield sold me a broken used TV. Turned it on the first time and it turned on as soon as I powered up the power strip. It had clearly been set up already and had green horizontal lines across the entire screen. Crutchfield told me they could get me another one in a week. Bought the same TV for the same price from another retailer within an hour and when I turned on the power strip I had to then turn the TV on manually. It then started with a setup menu that I did not see with Crutchfield's junk. Obviously refurbished poorly and sold as new. This is the second time Crutchfield has delivered a broken TV and the third time they have delivered broken equipment. Buy the TV - it's great! But buy it from a reputable dealer and avoid this website. Huge hassle and the reliability just isn't there anymore.

Worse but better
Scot from Aiken, SC on 8/12/2024
This is replacing an LG OLED65B9PUA , and first off I can say is that the Samsung isn't quite as good in most respects. The cpu isn't the best as apps take a few seconds to spool up and it has to think a little harder to get things done. In order to use all the functions of the TV you MUST have a Samsung account. The resolution seems a half-step behind LG and is not quite as smooth. However, the brightness of the picture from the back lighting makes you feel the depth-of-picture in a way the LG just can't do. As such, the Samsung picture is better overall in my bright living room. The base, while a decently thick piece of steel, is a bit small footprint-wise.
Pros: Very bright and works well in bright rooms. Backlight adds depth to the picture in certain circumstances. The remote is the same size and similar look to the Apple TV Siri Remote. The stand is relatively tall and keeps the screen completely viewable above a Bose Soundbar 700.
Cons: You must have a Samsung account to use many tv features. The stand is a bit small in area. The cpu is a bit slow loading apps and content. Remote voice commands don't always work. The remote is made of plastic and feels cheap.

Expected better for the price
Tania from Ruckersville , VA on 8/4/2024
First off, it has a beautiful picture, especially when you are actually seeing a 4K broadcast. There is nice color saturation and depth. However, I was told the "refresh rate" would be fine for sports, and this is not the case. I'm watching the Olympics currently, and if there's a foot race, all you see is a blur where the legs should be--no definition at all. So I'm fairly disappointed that a $1,500 TV can't do better than that.
Pros: Beautiful picture as long as there's no fast action.
Cons: Poor refresh rate means just a blur if you're watch something fast.

55" or larger only
Ed from Strongsville, OH on 7/27/2024
I read several reviews on this model (QN90D) before making my purchase. One thing I did not do, however, was to check Consumer Reports for their reviews. While the QN90D had not yet been rated, the QN90C was, and got excellent reviews, except for the 43", which was rated poorly for off-axis viewing. I have 3 other Samsung TV's - 32", 40", 43" - that do not exhibit this limitation. I had to relegate this model to the bedroom, where it is viewed head-on, so that the color saturation doesn't rapidly fade. If you get more than about 5 degrees to the side, the picture is horrible. So, if you purchase this model, don't go smaller than the 55", as it and larger sizes don't exhibit this issue.
Pros: Very high-tech.
Cons: Poor off-axis color on 43" model.

I am very happy with this TV, especially paired with the Samsung 990D sound bar. Setup was very simple, the picture is very clear. One big disappointment however is the TV tuner. This 2024 TV is only equipped with ATSC 1.0 tuner. I watch my programs over the air and many TV stations are now broadcasting with ATSC 3.0. Why would Samsung who in the previous year provided the TV with ATSC 3.0 but this year only decided to put it in the top end models. I still bought this TV knowing this because I didn't want to pay an additional $1000. At some point I will buy an external tuner with the latest 3.0 but I am so disappointed with Samsung. I do love the fact that Samsung provides an additional 300+ channels plus the 40 some I receive directly with my indoor antenna. I could get more if I get an outdoor antenna.

Just installed it yesterday but are enjoying it a lot. Hung it on the wall and was pleased with how easy it was to hang. We only stream and am happy with the apps that are available. The picture quality is very good. The remote is solar charged but is more like light charged. I keep it upside down to keep it charged. The learning curve is somewhat steep with the remote. Read the remote instructions and keep them close. The remote can do a lot of things but you have to know the button combinations to do them.
