Overview: The Samsung Portable SSD T7 Shield (MU-PE1T0) is a small, compact solid state drive for storing your files when you're on the go. It has a rugged build that can withstand the elements. Its USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type C) interface is lightning fast, so you can transfer massive files in seconds. The T7 Shield measures approximately 3.5" x 2.3" x 0.5" and weighs only 3.47 ounces. This Portable SSD has a capacity of 1 TB, and comes with a USB-C to A cable and a USB-C to C cable. It is covered by a 3-year warranty.

Performance: The Solid State Drive has a USB 3.2 Gen2 interface, offering maximum bandwidth of up to 10 Gbps. It has a sequential read speed of up to 1050 MB/s and sequential write speed of up to 1000 MB/s, which is more than 1.9 times faster than a SATA-based portable SSD, and more than 9.5 times faster than an external HDD (hard disk drive). The SSD lets you store hours of 8K video and thousands of high resolution photos. The SSD is backwards compatible with USB 3.2 Gen1 (5 Gbps), USB 2.0, and USB 1.1, however the speeds may be lower due to limitations of those versions.

Compatibility: The Samsung Portable SSD is designed to be connected to many current host devices, including Windows PCs and Macs, Android devices, and many tablets, gaming consoles, and more. For convenience, the device comes with two 18" USB cables -- USB Type C-to-A and USB Type C-to-C. T7 Shield is pre-formatted to use exFAT files, which are supported by Windows OS, Mac OS, and Android operating systems.

Rugged Build: The Portable SSD T7 Shield has a strong aluminum body with an advanced outer elastomer cover that protects the internal circuits from damage from external shocks. The aluminum body adds excellent heat dissipation, while the rubber exterior coating with Dynamic Thermal Guard helps control the heat. It also makes the device easy to grip, and protects the body from scratches and dings. It is also tested to withstand a 9.8-foot (3 meter) drop. The Portable SSD has earned an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance. The device has been tested under controlled conditions, including water flow of 100kPa for 3 minutes, and 2kg/m³ of active dust with a pressure under 2kPa for 8 hours.

Management Software: The T7 Shield is equipped with upgraded management software for PCs and Macs. Samsung Portable SSD Software 1.0 and Samsung Magician software are designed to help you manage your SSD, setup a password, monitor the drive health, and obtain firmware updates to optimize the device for best performance and reliability.
