Greetings Mark. Thank you for your question. The HW-Q60CC requires a different model wireless rear speaker package. That bar needs the SWA 9200S.

Compatibility: The SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit is compatible with the following 2021-2022 Samsung Soundbars (all sold separately).

  • 2022 Models: HW-Q700B/ZA, HW-Q800B/ZA
  • 2021 Models: HW-Q700A/ZA, HW-Q800A/ZA, HW-Q900A/ZA

2.0.2Ch Wireless Surround Speakers: The pair of 2.0.2ch wireless powered rear speakers house a front-firing 2.5" driver and top-firing 2.5" driver to create horizontal and vertical surround effects from Dolby Atmos and DTS:X movie soundtracks. Each speaker employs a 35W x 2ch amplifier to power each driver.

Mounting Options: The wireless powered rear speakers can be placed on a shelf, stand, or wall-mounted. The integrated rubber feet allow for safe placement on a piece of furniture. A rear-panel 1/4"-20 threaded insert lets you wall-mount the speaker using an optional wall-mount bracket (sold separately).

Power Requirements: Each wireless powered rear speaker comes with a detachable 5'' AC power cord and will need to be plugged into an AC wall outlet or surge protector (sold separately).

Greetings Gerald. We did not have the HW S60B bar, but according to Samsung you would be needing the SWA-9100S wireless rear speakers. Those we did have but they have been discontinued. Perhaps you can find them from another retailer.

This Samsung SWA-9500S wireless surround speaker kit is not compatible with the Q600B soundbar, Lynn. I show that if you have the 2022 model Samsung Q600B the SWA-9200S kit in the link below is compatible. The SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit is not compatible with 2020 and earlier Samsung soundbars, and only works for the Q600B if it is the 2022 and later model. These Samsung SWA-9500S can link with compatible soundbars, only one pair of surrounds per bar though Peter. Even with only one pair of surrounds added, the effect is wonderful for immersive surround sound from a compatible Samsung soundbar. I've got the compatible bars listed below for reference: 2022 Models: HW-Q700B/ZA, HW-Q800B/ZA 2021 Models: HW-Q700A/ZA, HW-Q800A/ZA, HW-Q900A/ZA

No, these speaker will not work properly without the use of one of the compatible Samsung soundbars. The technology within the soundbar and rear speakers are what allows the speakers to function properly.

Should I mount these behind my sofa which is tight to the wall so it puts the speakers approx 14" from our heads or to the left and right of the sofa approx 4ft away and slightly in front of us? so the sound would come from the side and not from behind. Pairing with the Samsung Q900a soundbar.

Typically the surround speakers should be placed on the side of the listener(s). My speakers are placed behind me due to the placement of the furniture in my room. I can hear the surround effects but they are not very loud even with the volume level turned up to the highest setting.

Go to remote for soundbar and scroll to 'Surround'. Use your up and down buttons to adjust the sound.

Press the sound control button, the one with the gear icon, on the soundbar remote to select REAR LEVEL, REAR TOP LEVEL, and then use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

This speaker system is supposed to work with Samsung's HW-Q800A model soundbars. The version we sell is meant for use within the U.S. and so comes built for our power grid and power outlet layout.
