Overview: The ATM System 2 Kit fan system is designed to ventilate and cool electronics in mid-size installations, such as small electronics cases, enclosed shelves, or a home theater equipment cabinet.

Fans: The System 2 Kit includes two 120mm (4.75" x 4.75" x 1") 2-speed fans that can be used to either exhaust hot air from an enclosure or feed cool air into it. They can even be configured with one fan feeding cool air in while the other exhausts it out. If both are used in the same location, a corresponding vent should also be installed at the opposite end for proper air flow through the enclosure. The fans are capable of maintaining approximately 20-40 CFM (cubic feet per minute) air flow, while generating very little noise. Each fan includes an attached 5' power harness that plugs into the included fan controller module.

Thermo-sensing: An attached thermal probe is included for automatically activating the fan system when the temperature surpasses approximately 85˚F. The probe should be placed over top of the hottest area of the equipment and plugs into the fan controller module, along with both fans. When power is applied to the controller module, the green LED will light. When the temperature gets high enough to activate the fans, the yellow LED on the controller module will light and the fans will run at a moderate speed. If the temperature increases by 5 degrees, the fans will run at full speed and the red LED will light. The fan controller also includes mounting holes for attaching it to the inside or backside of a cabinet or rack space.
