About the ATM Cool-It II Component Cooler

Own an A/V component that runs hotter than it should? Simply place an ATM Cool-it II over it. This convenient system features two 4-3/4" fans that blow cooling air down onto the component. A remote sensor activates the fans when your gear's temperature reaches 90° and shuts them off at 85°.
Installation is simple. Place the attached thermal sensor on the part of your component that runs the hottest. Place the fan assembly over the component's heat sink. Then plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet, and you're ready.

Features
Overview: The ATM Cool-it II fan system is specifically designed to be placed directly on top of electronic equipment that's generating heat, making it ideal for both home theater and commercial applications.
Fans: The Cool-it II features two 120mm (4.73" x 4.73") fans mounted to the underside of the attached protective hood. The fans are capable of maintaining a 20 CFM (cubic feet per minute) air flow, while generating very little noise. Each fan comes oriented to force cool air into the equipment vents, but can easily be flipped around and mounted upside down for drawing hot air out of the equipment. The fan assembly includes an attached 24" power cable that plugs into the included 6' AC power cable.
Note: The Cool-it II is designed to cool components in an open, or partially open space, such as on a shelf or in a cabinet with no doors or with an open back. It cannot cool equipment inside sealed enclosures.
Thermo-sensing: An attached thermal probe is included for automatically activating the fan system when the temperature surpasses the set amount. The probe should be mounted under the fan assembly on the hottest part of the equipment. An adhesive mount is provided for securing the sensor. A control board, mounted in between both fans, features three 7-segment displays along with 3 push-button controls for displaying and changing both the activation temperature (fan On) and the deactivation temperature, or differential (fan Off). The factory setting is to activate at around 90˚F and shut off at around 85˚. The differential setting includes 7 codes: P0 - P6; P1 should be selected first (if not the default) then the differential temperature can be selected. P6 turns the fan system off, the remaining codes are not used.
Note: The temperature display reads degrees in Celsius, not Fahrenheit, and cannot be changed. A convenient list of common temperatures conversions is provided in the instruction manual:
- 24˚C = 75˚F
- 27˚C = 80˚F
- 29˚C = 85˚F
- 32˚C = 90˚F
- 35˚C = 95˚F
- 38˚C = 100˚F
Specifications:
- Overall Dimensions: Width = 15.5", Height = 2.125", Depth = 7.125"
- Fans: (2) 4.73" (120mm) x 4.73" (120mm)
- Air Flow: 20 CFM
- Noise Level: 18dBA
- Thermal Control: Adjustable (default: 90˚F on / 85˚F off)

No bells, no whistles, it is nothing fancy-but it does keep your receiver from overheating. It does what it is suppose to do.
