We love the 8000 speakers , they fill the room perfectly , great sound !

Best Ceiling Speaker

To free up space and reduce clutter, I removed my two old, but very nice, tower stereo speakers from my living room and replaced the tower speakers with two golden-ears. The clarity, tonal balance, and imaging are excellent. The moderate to low bass from e.g. a bass guitar and bass drums are somewhat lacking. I'll be purchasing a sub-woofer; and then I expect the sound quality will be unparalleled. I used the Crutchfield virtual listening tool, with Bose headphones, to select this speaker. In my opinion, this Golden Ear is by far the best sounding ceiling speaker that Crutchfield offers.

Pros: Smooth, clear, and accurate tonal balance.

Cons: A bit more bass would take it to 11.
