Impressive Upgrade and Excellent Support
Thomas from Mooresville, NC on 12/17/2023
After enjoying B&W front and center speakers for over three decades, we decided to make a change and opted for the GoldenEar SuperCinema® 3D Array® X passive soundbar. The primary motivation was to reclaim some space in our relatively small room. Crutchfield, our trusted audio supplier for many years, provided invaluable support. I contacted their technical support team twice for recommendations, and both times they pointed me towards the SuperCinema® 3D Array® X. Their guidance aligned with my own research, confirming the soundbar's reputation. Our setup includes a Denon 2700H, a M&K subwoofer, and a Samsung 65" TV. The resulting audio experience is nothing short of outstanding. While I considered the XL model, its length was impractical for our entertainment center, but the SuperCinema® 3D Array® X doesn't disappoint. I must commend Crutchfield for their exceptional service over the years. Their knowledgeable agents and outstanding aftermarket support have made the entire process a pleasure. In an age where online marketplaces like Amazon dominate, I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with Crutchfield's support and would never consider purchasing audio components elsewhere. In conclusion, the GoldenEar SuperCinema® 3D Array® X has proven to be a worthwhile upgrade, and Crutchfield's support has been instrumental in making this transition seamless. Highly recommended for both product quality and customer service.

GoldenEar SuperCinema 3D Array X
Larry from Stockton, CA on 10/6/2023
I like this sound bar very much. I teamed it up with GoldenEar SuperSat 3s and a Martin Logan Dynamo 1500x subwoofer powered by a Yamaha Adventage RX-A3070 and the system sounds great

Just what I needed
Crutchfield customer from FREEVILLE, NY on 8/11/2023
Got this to replace a similar sized active soundbar. The prior "surround" soundbar (an expensive one) didn't really deliver on any of its promises. Finally decided to purchase this passive unit in hopes of getting better sound and control. Purchased a Marantz 70s to drive it. Am using a ML BalancedForce 210 sub that I had left over from a former electrostatic system. The results are fantastic. The sound quality is way, way better than expected as it delivers a very spacious and detailed sound. My seating area is about 12' from the soundbar and is a 12' wide sections couch. There is no bad seat. The sound stage is very large. In fact, it gets better as you get farther away as the sound stage continues to open up. Brand new, the speaker sounded a little harsh on the high end, but after about 2 weeks of break-in the sound definitely improved and became very smooth. I am now a GoldenEar fan and plan to expand my cinema/music systems with additional GE speakers. I also have to say Crutchfield is awesome. This was my first purchase from them, but not the last.
Pros: Spacious clean sound, large sound field, very nice to look at.
Cons: Direct wall mounting proved difficult, can now hear the difference between good and bad sound files.

Good, not great
Will from Portland, OR on 12/13/2022
I downsized my AV system and after doing a fair amount of research landed on this passive soundbar. I've had it for a couple months now I can say it's OK, not great. The form factor is top notch, for movies it's great; clear dialog, good balance between channels, etc. But for music, I was hoping for more. It sounds like a couple small bookshelf speakers bolted together. Nothing more, nothing less. If I had spent the same amount on a set of bookshelf speakers they would blow this out of the water. My primary use case is cinema and I needed the small form factor, so I'm not too disappointed, but keep that in mind if you plan on using this for music.
Pros: Form factor, size, passive soundbar
Cons: music, mounting hardware

Clean elegant soundbar with expansive sound
Edward from San Diego, CA on 11/29/2021
Pretty amazing sound field from a slim sleek sound solution. Wife wanted the little RCL separate speakers to disappear and I wanted to still have good sound with decent separation. We tried a small soundbar with a smaller footprint but there just wasn't a significant sound stage. This soundbar solved the problem. Fairly pricey but a clean look and sounds great with music, movies, TV dialog, etc. Expansive sound. Highly recommended.
Pros: Obvious quality out of the box Deceptively great sound Much better than the competition
Cons: Expensive Costs a bunch Not cheap
