Eufy by Anker HomeBase 3 and Eufy E340 video doorbell

I purchased the eufy by Anker HomeBase 3 together with the eufy E340 video doorbell. Ordering online from Crutchfield was very straight forward. The items arrived promptly and were well packed. Firstly, you have to download the Eufy Security app and create an account. The app is very well laid out and easy to navigate. I setup the Homebase 3 first to my home wifi, then setup the video doorbell to connect to the Homebase 3. The app gives you easy step-by-step instructions to get you up and running. During set up, both the Homebase 3 and the E340 had firmware updates. Do these first and do not attempt skip them. After all was said and done, it took me about 30 minutes, including updates to install everything. I would advise anyone using the app to familiarize yourself with the settings. These products work very well together and I highly recommend them. Thank you!!!

Great accessory for eufy cameras

The HomeBase 3 is a must-have in my book if you have a multi-camera eufy system or want to get the full performance potential from just a single camera. The HomeBase 3 can connect to your home network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi (must be connected via Ethernet for the initial setup) and serves as a private 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi access point for your eufy cameras to connect to. While it's preferred to have the HomeBase 3 connected to the network with Ethernet, if that puts the HomeBase 3 in a less-than-ideal location, you can move it over to Wi-Fi and place it where it has the best connection to both your eufy cameras and to your Wi-Fi router. The built-in 16GB of memory is enough for a few days of recordings (depending on the number of cameras and recording events), but the 2.5" hard drive bay allows for serious memory expansion if you need it. Cool feature to be able to see live video from the eufy also via Google Home just like my Google Nest cameras.
