Overview: The eufy FamiLock S3 Max (E85V0JY1) provides 3-in-1 security to protect your home and family, with a combination door lock, video camera, and doorbell. It uses innovative Advanced Palm Vein Technology to recognize members of your household and allow them access. The camera delivers clear 2K resolution that you can monitor on your phone, or view on the interior assembly's built-in video screen. The FamiLock S3 Max is powered by a powerful rechargeable battery that lasts for months. Installation generally takes less than 15 minutes.

Door Requirements: The door lock is designed for use with most standard US and Canadian deadbolts. It is compatible with doors with the following dimensions:

• Door Thickness: The door should be 1-3/8" to 2-1/16" in thickness.
• Cross Bore Diameter: The bore hole diameter of 1-1/2" or 2-1/8" is required.
• Backset: The bore hole should be backset by 2-3/8" or 2-3/4".
• Door Hole Diameter: The lock requires a door hole diameter if 1".
• Lock Spacing: The new lock should be located a minimum of 1-3/4" from an existing lock.

PowerDuo™: The FamiLock S3 Max comes with a Lithium-ion rechargeable battery (3.85V, 15000mAh, 57.75Wh) that fits inside of the interior assembly. The battery has a USB-C charging port, and should be charged for 6 to 8 hours with a charger (sold separately) that has an output of 5V/2A. It does not support fast charging. A fully charged battery will last approximately 5 months. During charging, or if the battery becomes depleted before it is recharged, the lock has four "AAA" alkaline batteries that provide backup power to allow you to unlock the door via the keypad. In an emergency, you can access the lock through a hidden USB-C port behind the lock cylinder cover. In the eufy app, you can monitor the battery status of the main and backup batteries from your phone.

Palm Vein Technology: The door lock uses advanced Palm Vein technology as one of five methods of unlocking the door. Unlocking the door requires waving your palm over the top of the door lock within 4" to 10". Infrared light is used to capture the unique patterns of the veins under your skin. Palm Vein Technology is more secure than fingerprints, with 99.99999% recognition accuracy. Palm recognition takes less than 0.1 second, faster than fingerprint unlocking, and can even read your vein pattern through dirty or wet hands. The unique patterns made by your veins is nearly impossible to replicate, providing a high level of security. Only real palms are recognized, preventing entry using 3D models or photos. Up to 50 palms can be stored locally in the lock's memory. In addition to Palm Vein Technology, you can unlock the door through the eufy app, voice control, keypad, or physical keys (provided).

Door Lock: The door lock has the top certification (ANSI/MHMA Grade 1) for meeting rigorous, commercial-level safety standards to keep you and your home protected. It can be used in any environment, with an IP65 waterproof rating and an operating temperature range of -22°F to 158°F (for the exterior portion of the lock only).

Auto-Lock: You can enable an Auto-Lock feature to lock the door behind you as you enter or exit your home. You can customize the Auto-Lock feature to fit your family's lifestyle and routines. Using the eufy app, you can program it to lock the door after several minutes if you're going out for a short period of time. For late night entries, choosing to Auto-Lock instantly would be a good option.

Camera: The FamiLock S3 Max is equipped with a video camera with an f/1.6 lens and high-definition 2K resolution. The camera has a 180° diagonal field-of-view (150° horizontal and 150° vertical) to let you capture a full, head-to-toe view in front of your door. The wide aperture and infrared LED let you see images in the dark or very low light situations, while HDR (High Dynamic Range) provides better clarity in dark and bright lighting. The eufy app will let you view and communicate with visitors at your door. Even if you're at home, you can see who's at your door without opening it by using the 4" (diagonal) 1080p video screen on the internal lock assembly.

Motion Sensing: Dual motion sensors on the front panel detect motion up to 6 meters (19.6 feet) away. Dual sensors provide 95% fewer false alarms than a single sensor. You can customize the detection area to reduce false alarms. With the help of advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence), the system can detect and recognize human activity at your door. When motion is detected, you'll receive real-time alerts on your phone through the eufy app, allowing you to respond appropriately. The app will keep track of every motion event so you can see them all in the Event History. If enabled, you can also receive a notification when someone leaves or returns home.

eufy App: You can use the eufy app (iOS 13.0+, watchOS 7.1+, Android 8.0+) on your smartphone, smart watch, or tablet to set up, receive instant notifications, and control the FamiLock S3 Max remotely. You can check the lock status from anywhere, and grant access to visitors or delivery drivers instantly, or with temporary passcodes. The app also keeps a running history of lock activity so you can keep track of who is coming and going.

Home Integration: The FamiLock S3 Max has direct Wi-Fi 6, which delivers fast and reliable connections. It can connect to eufy's HomeBase 3 (sold separately) for advanced AI features and extra local storage. It is compatible with Matter, allowing integration within Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings ecosystems.
