Thin stock power cables get the job done, but not much else. Treat your equipment and your ears right with Pangea Audio's AC-9 MKII power cable. It was designed with high-current applications in mind — perfect for improving the sound from your integrated amplifier, powered subwoofer, and other high-current components.

Smart, noise-rejecting cable design

To make sure the AC-9 MKII was up to the task, Pangea made the cable thick. Where other power cable sizes range from 12-gauge to 10-gauge, this beast comes in at a hefty 7-gauge. Inside the cable is a mixture of high-purity oxygen-free copper and Cardas Grade 1 copper for maximum conductivity. Those conductors are arranged in a special configuration that's optimized for 120V/60Hz power and counter-spiraled to reject noise. The cable also uses a double-shielded jacket to further isolate the cable from noise that could find its way into your system

Pangea Audio AC9 MKII Power Cable: The Pangea Audio AC-9 MKII is a 7-gauge power cable that has been designed specifically to deliver the high current needed by mono, stereo, and integrated power amplifiers. It's also ideal for powered subwoofers and makes a great choice for use with high-current-demanding line conditioners. Its combination of superior materials, advanced geometry, and noise-fighting shielding enhances the performance of connected components. Because of their high-current requirements, power amps benefit from the heavier gauge conductor design of the AC-9 MKII. Although the AC-9 MKII uses large-diameter conductors, it requires less shielding than power cables that are designed for use with source components.

Cardas Grade One Copper and 99.99% OFC Conductors: The AC-9 MKII boasts conductors made from Cardas Grade One Copper and 99.99% purity OFC copper conductors for maximum conductivity. The Cardas Grade One Copper is mined in Arizona, then shipped to a New England factory where it is very slowly drawn into conductors in a process that includes reduction annealing between steps to further purify and meld the copper into a heavy gauge conductor. Its 7AWG construction facilitates high-current power delivery, while its 5-way multi-gauge geometry optimizes 50/60 Hz AC power. In addition, the counter-spiraled conductors offer superior noise rejection, and double-shielding provides high-current noise isolation.

DeathGrip IEC with 24K Gold-Plated Contacts: The Pangea Audio AC-9 MKII uses a "DeathGrip IEC" 3-prong connector with massive 24k gold-plated contacts that offer superior electrical contact. Special two-shot molded connector bodies further protect vital AC connections for maximum current delivery and long life.
