The Pangea Audio Vulcan audio rack was designed for modular expansion. When you add a new component to your system, simply add another shelf to your rack. This add-on shelf is made of 5/8"-thick vibration-dampening MDF coated in scuff-resistant vinyl. The 7-inch steel posts help to further minimize unwanted vibrations.

Also works with Pangea's Vulcan turntable stand.

Vulcan 7.25" Add-On Shelf: Expand the capacity of a Pangea Vulcan Audio Rack or Pangea Vulcan TT Turntable Stand with the Vulcan 7.25" add-on shelf. Thanks to the unique design of the Vulcan add-on shelf, it is extremely stable and strong in addition to being acoustically neutral. The shelf is available in a satin black, rosenut, espresso, or carbon fiber finish.

Durable Construction: The dense MDF shelf is wrapped in a special vinyl material that is very easy to clean and resists scratching, scuffing, and most liquids. The shelf includes four steel support tubes that feature scratch-resistant and resonance-resistant black or silver sand powder coat paint. Its steel bolt-together design creates a super strong and ultra rigid add-on shelf for your Pangea Audio Vulcan rack.

Open-Air Design: The open-air design of the Vulcan add-on shelf is great for electronic components. The design maximizes component ventilation and makes it easy to install or remove gear.

Dimensions & Weight: The Vulcan add-on shelf measures 23.75" wide, 18" deep, and is 0.625" thick. The width of the shelf between supports is 19.375", while the depth between shelf supports is 11.0". The height between shelves will be 7.25". The shelf can support up to 75 lbs.

What is the depth of the shelf between supports? How deep does the space that this sits on need to be?

The depth between front and rear supports is 11". This is made specifically for adding to existing Pangea shelves. It is not intended to be used in other applications.
