Stronger than it looks.
Lonny S from FLOWOOD, MS on 3/20/2025
It looks nice but apparently can hold very heavy audio equipment. Anybody placing heavy and expensive equipment on it might naturally be skeptical but over time it's proven itself to be sturdy as well. And of course it's now sold out(good for those that bought them up)
Pros: Easy set up, perfect size for audio options and most important is durability.
Cons: Everybody complains about the feet because the tips are sharp, pointy and could wreck hardwood floors. They sink into carpet as well(place junk rug between the feet and quality carpets you wish to protect. This extra buffer will be enough to keep things fine.)

Should Have Known Better (Already Having Salamander)
Cary from Griffith, IN on 12/22/2024
You have got to be kidding me, i.e., many reviews are 5's??? Product is CHEAP looking! I have the Salamander Archetype A5 in cherry wood (but I needed another stand for my 2nd stereo components). If you are a wood lover, Vulcan cannot hold water to Salamander. Vulcan rosenut finish is junky. I must be spoiled already having the beautiful looking Salamander A5? Vulcan's "posts" also look cheap (looks like stubby "rolling pins" in the sheet metal shop). Salamander is the real deal! I will be buying another Salamander as soon as I decide on the wood. I have cherry, so may get maple this time. P.S. - My poor review is not Crutchfield's fault, as they are not the manufacturer (Pangea is). Not Returning Vulcan (since I should have known better). I hate to write poor reviews, but I need to be honest.
Pros: The Product is fairly "Sturdy"
Cons: Cheap Wood (looks fake), eyesore posts (also not classy looking)

Pangea Audio Vulcan Audio Rack
Edward from Elgin, IL on 11/6/2024
The rack went together very easily. It is very sturdy and each shelf can support up to 75lbs. For something you assemble yourself it looks much better than I expected. It is a good bang for your buck purchase and I highly recommend it.

Pangea Audio Vulcan Audio Rack
Rosanne from Saint Paul, MN on 10/13/2024
The rack is good looking and my audio equipment fits well. I am disappointed with the feet which are not at all suited for my carpeted floor. I am shopping for padded cups for the four pointed legs.
Pros:
Cons: Sharply pointed legs not suitable for carpeted floor.

Perfect Audio Rack For My Needs
John from Nanuet, NY on 4/21/2024
I found myself in need of a small rack for my surround sound components and I didn't want to spend a boatload of dollars, but I did want something of quality. I looked on Crutchfield and found the Pangea Audio Vulcan Audio Rack. The reviews were super positive and I placed an order. The parts were packaged perfectly, the instructions were clear (which helped this unhandy man greatly) and the unit went together easily and without any tools. Sturdy, minimalistic and good value. The only drawback is that casters are not included but are sold separately
Pros: Sturdy, easy to put together, good value for the money
Cons: Casters should be included but are separately available

This is a good quality and nice looking little stand. it was fairly easy to put together, but the casters that I had to buy separately really should be included.

Solid Rack
James from Middletown, DE on 2/20/2024
Easy to build. No tools necessary. A real solid build and can handle the weight of a large heavy AV receiver. Order a set of casters for this so it's really easier to move.
Pros: Easy to put together, solid.
Cons: None.

Easy choice.
Greg from Kirkwood, PA on 2/19/2024
This is easy folks, Pangea offers the best racks for the money, period. I've tried much more expensive units and ended up sending them back because they're greatly overpriced and just not worth it. Save your money for that next amp or speakers! Oh, and get them from Crutchfield!
Pros: Quality, looks, price.
Cons: None

Nice value

Love the rack - sturdy, easy to assemble . . . only issue is the spiked feet are dangerous to hard floors . . . will buy coasters or rubber feet if they become available. Until then, those spikes are coming off.

Good, but those sharp points!
Chris from San Francisco, CA on 1/5/2023
This is very solid unit. Only thing I don't like about it are the sharp points its four legs rest on. I have hardwood floors and had to put black rubber tips on the legs to prevent scratching the wood. The black rubber tips look fine on the unit and the color blends nicely with the leg.

Pangea Audio Vulcan Audio Rack
Wayne from St Augustine Beach, FL on 12/21/2022
I received the Vulcan Audio Rack today. The packaging was very immpressive. It only took 30 minutes to unpack, sort out the parts, and assemble it. It took no tools to assemble and the instructions are top notch. It's very sturdy and pretty hefty. It's perfect for my small study system and has plenty of room should I decide to add more components. Highly recommended.
Pros: Easy to assemble. Sturdy. Hefty.
Cons: None
