Sturdy and dependable

My last rack fell apart while trying to hold my heavy gear, and this one does it easily. It's a solid, basic rack that should be a good bargain for anyone not wanting to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars for a rack.

Sturdy

Easy to assemble and it is well made. The only thing I wish was included is some Glide Feet. The pointed ends are great for a stationary rack but if you need to pull the rack away from the wall you can't. I highly recommend this product.

Vulcan Audio Rack

This rack came together reasonably easy. It's very sturdy and passed the wife test for going in the living room. If you're just getting started with high end audio this is a good rack. Just like your gear you'll probably think you'll need to upgrade in a year.

Nice looking

Well made, easy to put together. I put my receiver near the top of the rack for ease of making connections. Very nice looking rack. Make sure you check that all posts are tight when assembly is complete. I understand the spikes are necessary for sound isolation, but I would have been happy with regular legs. I did have to add felt furniture pads on the two front legs to balance the unit on my carpeting.

Well constructed, easy to follow instruction, functional and attractive but as previously reviewed they have to do something about the pointed feet and cheap metal inserts.

Pangea Vulcan Audio rack

Went together perfectly and had no problem adding the extra shelf as well as the cross bars for better support. I purchased the black unit with carbon fiber look. It came out perfect. My only negative was it was supposed to come with 16 rubber washers and I only counted out 12 but made use with what was received and everything still worked out fine.

Great Looking and Affordable

This rack was easy to assemble with no tools. It looks great with the carbon fiber vinyl wrap on the shelves. The rack is sturdy enough to hold multiple vintage receivers with no problems.

Nice Rack!

I am very impressed with the quality and ease of assembly for the Pangea Vulcan Audio Rack. What I didn't want was another piece of furniture or an entertainment center, but a straightforward audio rack to hold my components. This fits the bill to a tee! It has many options for the height requirements between the shelves for your components, which in my case, I didn't have to change a thing. Crutchfield is the first place I look for anything. (The free shipping alone is a deal maker!!) I highly recommend the Pangea Audio Racks!

Easily modified racks.

Very good value for this rack. Easy to assemble. Modified my racks by using 1.5" metal washers on ALL connection points between the shelves and support tubes for a total of approximately forty washers on each rack. I know that is a lot of extra washers but I did not want the support tubes biting into the shelving. I did not use the "rubber" washers supplied with my two units. This is the way these racks should be delivered to customers as the racks are now rock solid. Also installed three inch casters with brakes as I needed the extra height and mobility needed for my situation.

Sturdy and open.

I chose the 5 shelf in Rosenut. I have a turntable on top and a Yamaha301 receiver and Yamaha 303 CD player on two separate shelves. The bottom two shelves are open. The components fit nicely, can be accessed easily from behind and allow plenty of air flow for cooling. I did not use the carpet spikes as my shelf sits on a wooden floor. I simply glued the rounded feet on the bottom posts. I wanted the height of the 5 shelf so minimal bending and stooping is required. The turntable, on the top shelf, does not skip. The shelf is sturdy, attractive and assembles in 30 minutes with no tools. I am very pleased with my new shelf. James Eve

Well packaged, no damage inside to any parts. Easy to assemble, no tools required. Plenty deep for my power amp. Bought the leveling gliders optional accessory to insure my turntable and CD transport were level. However, at this price point, I think they should have included both types of feet. Thumbs up wife approval for its clean looks and simplicity.

A fantastic affordable rack system. I picked up the 4 shelf unit along with a turntable unit. Both were assembled in no time. I purchased the casters and longer posts to accommodate my equipment. Love it.

I thought it was pricey but liked the look and caster option having wood floors. It showed up and was nicer than I anticipated. Not to mention putting it together was a no brainer. I think it took longer to unpackage then assemble.

Isolated sound audio rack

Easily assembled with no tools. Very sturdy and call me crazy but it does seem my turntable sounds better. It comes with four small washers that you can put under the pointed feet so that you can easily maneuver the stand into place. Without them you need to pick up the whole rack and move it bit by bit until you have it in the exact position you want it. They can also be used if you are on a wood floor.

I gave the product 3 stars and not because Crutchfield doing the product was delivered as promise with all the accessories that I order with it Crutchfield personnel get 5 stars . I ordered the five shelf Vulcan Rack with the four ten inch posts and 4 casters with it, the three stars earned was because they should have send 8 more bolts to installed the 4 posts ,the 4 casters and more vibration reducing rubber washers the four spike included do not fit the casters. One shelf was slightly damage but you can't see the damage. They should give you a choice of casters instead of the carpet spikes and mix and match posts, even with the largest posts included I could not accommodate my Yamaha A6A receiver with the AC Infinity on top.

Recieved the 5 shelf model in cherry like finish. Nice quality, easy to put togerher similar to "Solid Steel" brand but much more reasonable price ...I thinking about getting one for the down stair s playroom. Only downside is the rack is a little bit shallow in depth for large components with my mcintosh receiver

I bought this to replace my 30 year-old stereo cabinet which had become wobbly from too many moves. While I do like the look of a closed cabinet unit, these open shelves made it much easier to hook everything up. Easy to assemble, simple and elegant. The color even matches the rest of the furniture in my bedroom. I wish the bottom shelf was high enough to accommodate taller box sets, but I can just lay them down.

Premium Rack

This is my third Vulcan rack. All I can say is these are **excellent** racks. They are easy to assemble, look fabulous, and are rock solid. I have all three of my racks packed to the gills with equipment including turntables on top of each. They hold the weight of heavy power amps like a champ. Just make sure you place your amps on the very bottom shelf. I purchased casters for mine as I have hardwood floors and metal spikes don't play nice on hardwood floors. Hard plastic spikes are also provided but if you are like me and like to vacuum and dust behind your racks, casters are a must. My only gripe I have is that for the $$$ you pay for these, you should be given a choice of a model with casters or a model with spikes. The casters set you back another 30 bones per rack.

Very happy with the quality of the construction, and the way the rack isolates my sound equipment from house vibration. Simple to assemble and very easy to balance. Looks very nice, too. Delivery received in two days! Only issue with product is that the design of the footing makes it difficult to move the stand around to adjust the wiring. Still tweaking my setup, so this is a bit irritating, but will become a non-issue later.

Excellent Product. Just the height I was looking for. Beautiful finish. Feet are adjustable. Very sturdy and very well made. Not crazy about the spikes on my hardwood floor. The included small protective discs are way to small and hard to place.
