Poor instructions.
Mike from Winchester, TN on 9/12/2024
I bought Record Doctor RxLP because I thought it was to be used with the Record Doctor brush. However, the instructions on the bottle explain that the liquid is to be used with a vacuum powered machine ... which I do not have. A complete waste of money as I can't use the product.

Try it you'll like it
William from Maumee, OH on 3/11/2024
The Record Doctor cleaning fluid is excellent. It does a great job at lifting off all kinds of contamination. Alcohol free. And can be used with the Record Dr. vacuum unit or a brush directly on the LP to remove dust and paper particles. I have tried a lot of different cleaning solutions over the last 50 years and this one is great. Try it and you won't go back to what you are using now.
Pros: No alcohol Cleans great Reasonable cost
Cons: None

Perfect Large Refill
Michael from Mason, OH on 3/13/2023
I have been using my Record Doctor vinyl cleaning machine to clean up my entire set of vinyl records. You can imagine a large LP set will take a lot of cleaning fluid. It is very nice to be able to purchase a large quantity of replacement fluid to keep my cleaner going.

Efficient LP cleaning solution.
George from Annville, PA on 2/22/2023
Excellent way to keep your treasured LPs clean. Use as is from the bottle. I got a smaller drip-top squeeze bottle to keep some in, so that it is more convenient to apply to the LP surface. The brush supplied with the Record Doctor will spread the liquid around and it is then vacuumed off.
Pros: Large bottle, but can decant into smaller, easier applicator bottle.
Cons: None

Effective & Convenient
Christian from Tampa, FL on 2/22/2023
Effectively eliminating any excuse not to add to my vinyl collection, the cleaner solution works really well in eliminating dirt and grime. You can see it spread thru the grooves even before brushing. Used in combination with my Doctor, older vinyls are clean, refreshed with vastly improved sound quality. The solution seems to even help new vinyls, particularly colored vinyls, with annoying noise that sometimes accompany them. Convenient large size with just one recommendation is to utilize the smaller 4oz bottle received with the Record Doctor to apply. Easier to handle and control amount dropped on vinyl.

Just got the record Dr 6...this came in a small bottle..worked great..I then saw the mofi wash..was 5 dollars cheaper so I ordered that ..bottle got damaged in shipping and spilled..ups fault .so Crutchfield was nice enough to exchange it for me
Pros: To me there is a difference
Cons: Mofi..just didn't want to penetrate the grooves.. rolling off ..making a mess..no offense to anyone who likes mofi wash..I got it because it was cheaper..my fault

Crutchfield customer from Manchester, NH on 4/13/2021
This works but goes fast. Price is an issue. I know some people who have bought the Record Doctor who use other brands of cleaning solution because of the price. It does the job.
Pros: Works well with it's associated product.
Cons: Price.

What is expected?
Crutchfield customer from Clarksburg, WV on 4/11/2021
I purchased this product seeking an improved cleaner. It's not that the cleaner I was presently using was not performing well. But, I felt an improvement would be welcomed. This cleaner is a thin type liquid. I do not use a machine so I was able to watch it spread as I sprayed it on my record. I used a spray bottle to better control application. Next, I used a clean anti static cloth spreading it to all parts of the vinyl. Next I used began the rinsing process. That composed of a strong spray from the kitchen sick and a final rinse with distilled water. I then covered the damp, cleaned side with paper towels to absorb the water. This left a clean vinyl. I have cleaned appx 30 vinyl in this manner playing about 10. There was a decrease in the pop and hiss factor. Thus, this cleaner removed debris. However on a few instances I noticed a small buildup of a sticky dark substance on my stylus after playing an album. I believe this to be deeply embedded dirt that was not completely removed during either cleaning or rinsing. In all this product works as well as I suspected. What else could one expect when performance is based upon many uncontrollable issues. Good for machines and adaptable for hand cleaning
Pros: Easy to use. Thin solution is easily spread around record and into groves.
Cons: May leave some debris in groves.
