I think that would work fine. You can also buy it as a concentrate and mix it with a gallon of water and that may be the best way to buy this. Best Wishes!

I have never used a record cleaning machine. I have a record cleaning brush that I apply it to... a few drops along the edge. Then I use my finger to make sure it's evenly spread across it. I imagine a soft cloth would work also. Definitely avoid touching record grooves with skin... like fingers... alot of oils on skin

You could, but the vacuum on the record cleaner really gets into the grooves and cleans it better. Enter an answer to this question.

I use it with a standard record cleaner all the time. No problems.

I think a rinse after using might be good since the record cleaners vacuum up the excess from the grooves.

Sorry for the delay in answering this question, but when I received this I really had no idea. I measured out 2 ounces to see how many albums I could do, but then the weather got better and I did some long overdue yard work for several days. (I know, poor priorities.) Anyway I've now almost used up those 2 ounces, and I've done 18 albums. It looks like I've got enough for a couple more, so I would say 2 ounces does 20 albums so 16 ounces should do about 160 albums. But my recommendation to you, (if it is not too late), is to buy the concentrate. Instead of mixing a whole gallon, do it either 4 or 16 ounces at a time. I had bought a 16 ounce bottle and decided to buy the concentrate after I used that up. I use 7.5 ml of the concentrate and fill the 16 ounce container with distilled water, shake it, then let it sit for a bit. By the way, I use a lot more solution per record than I did at the beginning. When I started, I was just putting several drops in a line like they were doing in the YouTube videos, then spreading it out with the provided brush. No liquid was ever accumulating in the tank, so I started just leaving the plug out. I decided that might be reducing the "suction" during the cleaning, so now I keep the plug in while I'm cleaning a record. I now do 6 to 9 records during a session. I'll put a good line of liquid on the record before spreading it around, then add some more if it doesn't look like I got all the grooves wet. I double check each side to make sure they are completely dry before putting the record in its sleeve or giving it a spin. After each session I take the plug out and now there is definitely some accumulated liquid. I play each record and I am amazed at how good most of them sound after all these years. (A combination of the Record Doctor, a new turntable, an upgraded stylus, and regular stylus cleaning!)
