Overview: The SWITCH Works (SSV Works) Alpha 12 Digital Smart Switcher (SW-E12-10) lets you control up to 12 different powered vehicle accessories from a dashboard-mounted LCD touch button control panel. The Digital Smart Switcher can provide a total of 180-amps (maximum) of power distributed to 6 High-Current and 6 Low-Current outputs. The 12V Alpha 12 Brain Module features a heavy-duty aluminum housing and carries an IP67 waterproof rating, while the LCD touch button controller carries an IP65 waterproof rating, making the programmable Alpha 12 smart switcher ideal for use in ATV/UTVs and off-road vehicles.

Power & Ground Input: The SWITCH Works Alpha 12 Digital Smart Switcher receives power via a connection to the vehicle battery using the provided 10' length of 4-gauge power wire. The power wire includes an in-line waterproof fuse holder with an installed 100A ANL fuse. A 10' ground wire (4-gauge) is also included for attaching to the chassis of the vehicle. Both wires are terminated with 0.233" ring-terminals on one end and 0.325" ring-terminals on the other end for connecting to the vehicle battery. Two flange bolts and lock-washers provide the power and ground input connection on the Brain Module.

12 Powered Outputs: The Alpha 12 Digital Smart Switcher features two main output harnesses; one with 6 Low Current outputs and one with 6 High Current outputs. Individual pigtails for each output provide the bare-wire connections to your accessory devices. The Smart Switcher can provide up to 180A of current total divided between the 12 outputs.

• 6 High Current Outputs (H1-H6): Provides up to 25A of current to each output. Ideal for light bars, sound systems, air horns, and other higher-current drawing devices.
• 6 Low Current Outputs (L1-L6): Provides up to 5A of current to each output. Ideal for rock lights, dome light, turn signals, and low-current LEDs.

Additional Connections: The Alpha 12 Digital Smart Switcher includes an 8" Brain Module Power Harness with the following connections:

• Control Panel Output: A 4-pin cable connects to the LCD touch button controller.
• Switched 12V & Illumination: A switched power input wire can be connected to a 12V switched or ignition power source, allowing the system to power select devices On/Off with the ignition. An Illumination wire can be connected to the vehicle lighting system, letting the control panel display to dim with the vehicle lights.
• USB: A USB-A port is used for loading new configuration files and updating the Smart Switcher firmware. A protective cap is provided to keep water and dirt out of the USB port when not in use.

Brain Module Mounting: The Alpha 12 Brain Module features 4 integrated tabs with screw holes for mounting to a flat surface (mounting hardware not included). The Brain Module's compact size and IP67 weatherproof rating allow it to be mounted just about anywhere in a vehicle.

LCD Touch Button Controller: The included LCD Touch Button Controller features 15 push-buttons backlit with individual LCD screens that can display various icons (12 are assignable). Up to 12 accessory devices can be activated from the control panel, with 60 user-programmable functions and 64 icons to choose from, including Light Bar, Locker, Compressor, Bumper Lights, Fog Lights, Turn Signals, and more. Custom icons can be loaded into the Alpha 12 in the form of JPEG or PNG files. The Alpha 12 can be connected to the vehicle lighting circuit, allowing the display to dim when the dash lights are powered on.

• Button Programming: Each of the 12 powered accessory outputs can be freely assigned to any of the buttons, including setting up Macros, where multiple functions can be assigned to a single button.
• Current Limit: The maximum current output of the Alpha 12 can be set to match the maximum draw available from the vehicle battery. Default setting is 80A.
• Priority Shutdown: The Smart Switcher constantly monitors the current draw and temperature of the system. The Priority Shutdown feature can prevent over-current draw and over-heating by automatically turning off outputs based on their Priority setting in the menu. Each output can be assigned a Priority setting between P1 (highest priority) and P12 (lowest priority), with the lowest priority devices being shut off first and the highest shut off last.
• Status: The controller can display the Temperature, Current Draw, Status (On/Off), and Short Circuit Protection status of each output.
• Controller Mounting: A universal mounting bracket with ball-and-socket attachment is provided for installing the control panel on a dash or console.

Configuration: All of the SWITCH Works Alpha 12 Smart Switcher programming can be done using the panel buttons and icons. A PC App, available for Windows XP and 8-11 (Mac not supported) can also be used to configure the system. Your system configuration can be saved to a USB thumbdrive and loaded into the Alpha 12 via the USB-A port on the Brain Module.

Expansion: The SWITCH Works Smart Switcher lets you expand your control system by letting you add an additional Brain Module (sold separately) while still being operated through one LCD Touch Button Controller. Alternatively, you can add a second controller (sold separately) to one Brain Module, letting you control the system from two locations in the vehicle.
