Tap into the mirror's wiring for reliable juice

This MT-2010 MirrorTap kit features a 10-inch long cable with a 2-amp inline fuse to ensure safe, reliable power delivery to your radar detector from your rear-view mirror. The military-grade taps measure 0.05" wide each and should fit comfortably into the mirror's wiring harness. A braided black flexible sleeve holds the fuse and looks factory so the kit won't stand out. Once you've connected the power and ground taps, attach the cable to your detector and adjust the slack with the included cable tie. Boom, done.

Works with RJ-11 (telephone-style) plug openings

The telephone-style RJ-11 plug works with a wide variety of radar detectors from Escort, Beltronics, and Radenso — be sure to check your detector to make sure it's compatible. After your install, you'll have a barely visible cable running discreetly to your detector from the mirror instead of a flat, shiny phone cord.

Overview: BlendMount's MT-2010 MirrorTap kit lets you power your Beltronics, Escort, or Radenso radar detector from your 2011-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 or 2014-up Corvette C7 auto-dimming mirror. The MirrorTap kit provides a cleaner looking installation while freeing up your dash or console power socket. Please use BlendMount's Fit Guide to find the right products for your vehicle.

Construction: The MirrorTap kit includes a 10" Power Cable constructed of a pair of 24 AWG wires protected by a durable outer sheath. One end features an RJ-11 connector, that plugs into your radar detector, while a pair of .050" military-grade terminals on the other end are used for tapping into the rear-view mirror's power and ground terminals. This end also houses an inline 2A fuse encased in rubber (non-replaceable).

Installation: Installation of the MirrorTap requires identifying the auto-dimming mirror's power and ground wires, located in the factory Molex connector, using a voltmeter or multimeter (not included). The Power Cable's terminals will be used to "tap" into the identified power and ground pin-connections, providing a snug fit into the connector. Two wire-ties are included for securing the cable to the factory wiring, providing a cleaner looking installation as well as helping provide strain-relief for the Tap connections.
