detailed but non fatiguing

These speakers sound great. Detailed but non fatiguing. Scaled up very well when I upgraded my dac. Soundstage perhaps not as well defined as say focal Kanta but perhaps that is the price you pay for the non fatiguing sound

A really great standmount
Kenneth from BOULDER, CO on 3/4/2023
I bought these to upgrade from the Dynaudio Special 40's I purchased from Crutchfield 2 years before. The Dynaudios were great and I recommend them highly, but I found that I wanted a fuller sound with a little more bass. These Elysians fit the bill. There is great clarity with the AMT tweeter, and the bigger cabinet and slotted ports gives me the fuller sound I was looking for. The midrange is amazing. Wharfedale did a great job implementing and coordinating the 2 drivers, and I'm hearing deeper into the music than I was before. They are fairly easy to drive (89 dB), but you want an amp with some current because they are 4 ohms. My amp is a PassLabs INT-60, and it is a GREAT match. Also, the slotted ports make placement easier in my room (they are along the long wall) because the bass is directed to the sides, not the rear. Of course, like with any good standmount you want the right stand. Finally, the cabinets are gorgeous, like fine furniture. They look even better in person than they do in pictures. Bottom line, if 5 grand is in your budget and you have a good amp these are definitely worth a home trial. I don't see me needing to upgrade further.
Pros: Great clarity and detail Easy to place Overall sound is fantastic
Cons: None
