A way to control hidden A/V gear

This handy infrared repeater system gives you control over your A/V equipment even if it's tucked away inside a cabinet. You'll be able to control your home theater receiver, stereo receiver, and more in places where those devices' IR remote signals can't reach. The kit gives you four dual output emitters and an IR receiver that gives you control of up to eight separate components.

How it works

The kit includes a main IR receiver that gets mounted somewhere within line of sight of your equipment's remotes, like on your TV's bezel or the front of your TV stand. The receiver relays your remote commands to the IR hub hidden inside the cabinet. The hub then sends the commands to each of the four dual-output IR emitters placed in front of your gear.

IR Repeater System: The Ethereal Helios HS-IRKIT IR Repeater System allows you to use an existing infrared (IR) remote control to operate up to 8 audio/video components located behind closed doors or walls in an entertainment cabinet or equipment closet. The HS-IRKIT IR Repeater System consists of a hide-away repeater box, one 38" IR receiver, four 13' dual IR emitters, and a AC power adapter.

Note: The distance bewteen the IR receiver and IR emitters should be at least 19.6875".

IR (Infrared) Replication: The Ethereal Helios HS-IRKIT IR Repeater System effectively replicates infrared signals (34-60kHz frequency range) from remote controls to reach up to 8 components that are stored remotely or hidden in enclosed cabinets, using the four included dual IR emitters.

Protect the IR receiver from plasma screens and devices that emit too much low-frequency RF or an excess of ambient light, including direct sunlight, floodlights, and some halogen or fluorescent lamps.
You'll enjoy increased range in dimmer applications, as this IR repeater system has more sensitivity with less ambient light.

Hide-Away IR Repeater Box: The included hide-away IR repeater box features three IR receiver inputs and six IR emitter outputs. The IR receiver input & emitter outputs consist of 3.5mm minijack terminals. As the hub of the IR repeater system, it receives signals from the remotely located infrared receiver and channels them to the remotely located IR emitters and your components. The hide-away IR repeater box can be mounted in a discreet location on top of furniture or next to a TV to replicate infrared signals from your IR remote controls.

Note: The hide-away IR repeater box measures 4.6875" (w) x 2.0" (h) x 1.0625" (d).

IR Receiver: The HS-IRKIT IR Repeater System includes one IR receiver which features an attached 38" cable that is terminated by a male 3.5mm connector that plugs into the hide-away IR repeater box. The "eye" of the IR receiver is located in the tip of the IR receiver and should be facing the area from which you will be using your remote controls. Peel back the tape on the bottom of the IR receiver to stick to a clean, flat surface.

Note: The IR receiver measures 1.1875" (w) x 1.125" (h) x 0.5625" (d).

Four Dual IR Emitters: The HS-IRKIT IR Repeater System comes with four dual IR emitters which feature an attached 13' cable terminated by a male 3.5mm connector that plugs into the hid-away IR repeater box. The dual IR emitters should be attached directly over your components' IR receptors using the integrated peel-&-stick tape. If you prefer, you can attach the dual IR emitters to a shelf so that it is facing the components' IR eyes and within 3" of the eye.

Note: The dual IR emitters measure 0.4375" (w) x 0.5" (h) x 0.75" (d).

Power Requirements: The hide-away IR repeater box operates off of standard household current using the supplied AC power adapter with 44" DC cord.
