Ultra Short Throw Projector

LPU Digital Engine: The Hisense PX3-PRO's LPU digital engine seamlessly integrates TriChroma Laser Light technology with an ultra short throw lens, DLP XPR pixel-shifting chipset, and AI computing to ensure every projected image is a masterpiece of light and color with exceptional brightness and contrast.

TriChroma Laser Light Technology: The PX3-PRO ultra short throw laser projector features the award-winning TriChroma laser engine to achieve full coverage of the BT.2020 color space for a true-to-life picture with color, brightness and contrast like never before seen. The Hisense PX3-PRO utilizes TriChroma laser light technology, featuring 3 pure-color lasers, that displays a cinema-like picture full of rich and vibrant colors. The RGB triple color Laser light source generates the three colored parts of a picture in parallel, generating improved color representation and brightness uniformity.

  • Wide Color Gamut: The PX3-PRO uses pure red, green, and blue lasers to achieve new levels of color performance, reaching 107% of the BT.2020 color space with 1 Billion colors. The enhanced spectrum of colors show images that are true-to-life with precision detail and natural colors.
  • High Brightness & Dynamic Contrast: The Hisense PX3-PRO ultra short throw laser projector produces 3000 lumens of brightness and offers a 3,000:1 native contrast ratio for a brilliant HDR (High Dynamic Range) video image with detailed highlights, vibrant colors, and bold blacks - making everything pop off the screen.
  • Low Blue Light Design: The PX3-PRO is designed to reduce blue light emissions, making it easier and more comfortable to watch your favorite shows for extended periods of time without straining your eyes. *To protect your eyes, proximity sensors dim the lasers when something gets too close.
  • Long Life: Laser light technology also provides up to 25,000 hours of entertainment without an loss of performance.

Ultra Short Throw Design with Digital Lens Focus & Auto Geometry Calibration: The Hisense PX3-PRO is an ultra short throw laser projector that utilizes digital lens focus to project images from 80" to 150" with razor-sharp focus for maximum viewing immersion. The PX3-PRO can project these image sizes from just a few inches away from the wall and screen, thanks to its 0:22 throw ratio. The digital lens focus allows you to adjust the projector's focus conveniently from the included remote control (there is no manual focus wheel). The projector should be positioned so that it is parallel with the screen surface. However, if the projector is not totally level, you can use its Auto Geometry Calibration feature to align the image perfectly from you compatible Apple iOS or Android OS mobile device over a WiFi connection (you'll need to scan the QR code that is presented from the projector's Menu screen).

Aspect Ratio Screen Or Image Size Projection Distance
16:9 80" 4.7"
90" 6.6"
100" 8.5"
110" 10.4"
120" 12.3"
130" 14.3"
140" 16.2"
150" 18.1"

4K Ultra HD via XPR Pixel-Shift Technology: The Hisense PX3-PRO has a native resolution of 1080p, but can accept a 4K video signal and display a 4K video signal through XPR Pixel-Shift technology. The Hisense PX3-PRO ultra short throw projector utilizes DLP XPR Technology (Texas Instruments' pixel-shifting technology) to achieve 4K resolution with 8.3 million distinct pixels. XPR Technology perfectly quadruples the projector's 0.47" DMD chip's 1920x1080 pixels to generate 8.3 million pixels with ultra-fast pixel shifting speed for 4K content. 4K Ultra HD has 4x more detail than Full HD 1080p.

HDMI 2.1: The Hisense PX3-PRO is outfitted with two HDMI 2.1 inputs and one HDMI 2.0 input to connect your Ultra-HD and HD sources; such as your Blu-ray player, satellite/cable box, and/or game system. In addition, any HDMI input can be used to connect a PC to the Laser TV.

  • Supported Video Resolutions: All three HDMI inputs will accept up to 4K (3840 x 2160) @ 60Hz.
  • HDCP 2.2: HDCP 2.2 is supported by all of the TV's HDMI inputs. HDCP 2.2 is short for "High bandwidth Digital Content Protection" and is used for 4K video copyright protection for compatibility with Ultra HD Blu-ray players and 4K Satellite/Cable providers.
  • 4:4:4 Color Subsampling: All HDMI inputs will support up to 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for full color data rendering of 4K video (4:2:2 and 4:2:0 are also supported by all HDMI inputs). With 4:4:4 color, luminance (brightness) and chroma (color) are sampled at the same rate, resulting in an RGB color palette as big as the video sampling rate for a video image with more total colors, plus greater color accuracy and detail.

Note: The projector does not contain any analog video inputs.

HDR (High Dynamic Range): The PX3-PRO ultra short throw laser projector offers the ability to provide a premium High Dynamic Range (HDR) experience, with a higher level of contrast between light and dark images. HDR delivers a much higher level of contrast between light and dark to produce an image that is more realistic and closer to what the content creator imagined. This increased contrast reveals the subtle nuances of the image, from detailed blacks and shadows to the brightest whites and colors, plus greater depth.

  • HDR10: HDR10 is an open standard and currently the most popular HDR format on the market. It supports 10-bit color and 1,000 nits. It uses static metadata at the start of a movie to tell the receiver and your TV that the video content is encoded using HDR.
  • HDR10+: HDR10+ is a more advanced HDR format technology that uses dynamic metadata to deliver high quality movies, TV shows, and games with a vibrant and lifelike viewing experience; as it enhances the brightness, contrast and color accuracy of your content in real time - producing stunning visuals with greater detail and depth.
  • Dolby Vision: Dolby Vision Content has dynamic metadata that is produced during content creation, capturing the dynamic properties of each scene. This dynamic metadata is used to optimize the picture brightness curve on a frame-by-frame basis. Dolby Vision is the preferred HDR format by major Hollywood Studios and delivers the cinematic experience the creator intended by optimizing the picture frame-by-frame.
  • HLG: HLG (Hybrid-Log Gamma) is primarily designed for live video feed and over-the-air broadcasts. It uses no pre-encoded metadata and is backwards compatible with SDR. HLG's native compatibility allows much of today's existing SDR infrastructure to be re-used for HDR in the future.

MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation): With microsecond level-processor response and MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) technology the PX3-PRO ultra short throw projector ensures you never miss a moment of the action. Fast moving video images from sports, games and action films are exceptionally smooth and crystal clear. The projector's native refresh rate is 60Hz.

Picture Modes: The Hisense ultra short throw laser projector offers a number of preset pictures modes (such as Intelligent Scene, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker, Netflix Calibrated, Game, and 3D) to suit a variety of applications and content. You can also manually adjust picture settings such as Contrast, Brightness, Color, Tint, Sharpness, Noise Reduction, White Balance, Color Space, and Gamma. Picture modes and settings can be applied to an individual source or all sources.

  • Intelligent Scene: The Intelligent Scene mode automatically recognizes a scene in the video content you are watching and then uses advanced algorithms to enhance the picture quality in real-time.
  • IMAX Enhanced: IMAX Enhanced is a home cinema format that signifies that a product and movie meet specific quality standards set by IMAX, delivering a more immersive viewing experience with improved picture quality (like increased brightness and clarity), reduced noise and grain - bringing a closer-to-theater like IMAX experience to your home setup.
  • Filmmaker Mode: Filmmaker Mode disables any motion processing adjustments from the projector settings to ensure you’re seeing content exactly the way the moviemakers intended. Filmmaker Mode automatically adjusts picture settings to get content looking the way the movie-makers intended, reserving the director's creative intent to provide a more cinematic experience.
  • Netflix Calibrated: The Netflix Calibrated mode allows you to watch Netflix content with originally intended picture quality.
  • Game Mode with ALLM: You can enable Game Mode to optimize the projector's settings for playing video games with a gaming console. Game Mode bypasses and disables some of the projector's 4K video processing to allow for faster video gaming response time of 2K @ 240Hz. The PX3-PRO is Xbox-Certified and features ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) to detect when a gaming console is the active source and automatically adjusts projector settings to optimize game performance.
  • 3D Ready: The PX3-PRO is 3D-ready and supports 3D (three-dimensional video) in up to 1080p. 3D Mode requires active 3D glasses, a 3D compatible media player, and 3D video content.

50W Speaker System: With a built-in 50 watt speaker system from Harman/Kardon that supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital, and DTS Virtual:X, the Hisense PX3-PRO ultra short throw projector delivers an expansive and immerse soundstage with clear dialog, crisp highs, and deep bass. You can choose from a variety of sound modes including Auto Mode, Standard, Theater, Sports, Music, Speech, Late Night, and Intelligent Sound.

  • Intelligent Sound: When the Intelligent Sound is on, the built-in speaker system automatically recognizes the sound and enhances the sound quality in real-time,
  • Speech: In Speech mode, low and high frequencies are attenuated to improve the reproduction and clarity of the human voice.
  • Late Night: In Late Night mode, the console will improve the reproduction and clarity of the human voice with a low volume level.

Note: If you want you to only listen to music through the PX3-PRO's built-in speaker system, you can turn the projector's laser light source off, so no image is projected on the screen.

eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel): The Enhanced Audio Return Channel within the projector's HDMI 3 input enables the projector, via a single HDMI cable, to send audio data "upstream" to an AV receiver; increasing user flexibility and eliminating the need for any separate S/PDIF audio connection. This feature allows audio to be sent from the projector to your AV receiver through the same HDMI cable already being used to send audio/video to the projector. This eliminates the need for extra cables connected to the projector. eARC allows Network, USB, and HDMI sources to be heard through your eARC compatible AV receiver via the projector's HDMI eARC input.

  • The audio from the projector's HDMI inputs, USB ports, and Google TV apps can pass as Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and Dolby Atmos; as well as 2ch, 5.1ch, and 7.1ch PCM.
  • Your AV receiver or soundbar will also have to support eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) to accommodate the playback of these high resolution audio formats. If your AV receiver or soundbar only supports ARC (Audio Return Channel), audio playback will be limited to Dolby Digital or 5.1ch/2ch PCM.
  • DTS, DTS:X, and other DTS surround sound formats are not supported.

Analog & Digital Audio Out: The Hisense PX3-PRO is outfitted with analog & digital audio outputs (only one output can be used). The stereo minijack (3.5mm) analog output can be connected to a receiver, soundbar, powered speakers, or set of headphones. The projector's optical (toslink) digital output terminal will output Dolby Digital (when available) or 2ch PCM. The digital optical output terminal only sends an audio signal in Dolby Digital when receiving Dolby Digital surround sound from HDMI inputs, Google TV apps, or USB ports.

Note: When the projector's analog or digital output is selected, the projector's built-in speaker system is muted.

WiSA Ready: The Hisense PX3-PRO is WiSA Ready and compatible with WiSA enabled USB transmitters and WiSA certified speakers (all sold separately) for creating a wireless 5.1ch audio system. Thanks to WiSA technology you can create a wireless 5.1ch speaker system with low-latency (5.1 milliseconds), seamless synchronization (+/-1.0 microseconds), and high-fidelity audio (24-bit/96kHz). In addition to the Hisense PX3-PRO projector, you'll need a WiSA enabled USB transmitter and WiSA certified speakers/sub to create a wireless 5.1ch speaker setup (all sold separately).
