About the Roksan Attessa CD Transport

The beauty of simplicity
The beauty of simplicity
Most modern A/V gear is cluttered with tons of buttons, and multiple inputs and outputs. Not so for the sleek, elegant Roksan Attessa CD Transport, which is designed to do one thing very well — it reads the music stored on a compact disc with maximum accuracy and delivers pristine audio playback.
A single coaxial SPDIF output on the back of the component's rugged chassis allows you to connect to an outboard digital to analog converter, or use the DAC built into a compatible receiver, preamp, or integrated amplifier. It's an especially great match for Roksan's Attessa integrated amps. The intuitive function buttons on the front of the transport are mirrored on the included remote control.
App-based system synchronization
This player is part of Roksan's high-fidelity line of Attessa components. When you have more than one Attessa device in your sound system, you can connect them together and synchronize control functions with the free MaestroUnite app. For instance, when the CD transport is placed in Standby Plus mode, it will automatically turn on when the rest of your system does.
Roksan's British heritage
Roksan was founded in England in 1985, where the company continues to design and engineer its products. Their first product — the ground-breaking Xerxes turntable — established Roksan's expertise in vinyl playback, but since then the company has turned its attention to hi-fi digital audio and amplification, as well.

Features
CD Transport: The Roksan Attessa CD Transport perfectly pairs with Roksan's Integrated or Streaming Amplifiers (sold separately), but can also be used with other brands and models of amplifiers that feature a coaxial digital input. You will lose some feature capabilities (such as MaestroUnite communication) when using the Roksan CD Transport with other brands and models of amplifiers.
Note: Roksan Attessa CD Transport is a not a traditional CD player and it is not equipped with its own DAC (digital-to-analog converter).
Disc Compatibility: The Rocksan Attessa CD Transport supports playback of CD-Audio discs; as well as CD-R discs with PCM music files (up 16-bit/44.1kHz). 8cm and 12cm discs are supported. MQA playback is supported via an available firmware update when used with the Roksan Attessa Streaming Amplifier.
- CD-Audio and CD-R disc compatible. Not compatible with CD-RW, SACD, DVD Audio, or other disc formats.
- PCM compatible (MQA available). Not compatible with MP3, WMA, AAC, AIFF, ALAC, FLAC, DSD or other audio formats.

All Metal Construction: The Roksan CD Transport features a formed plated steel chassis and machined anodized aluminum front-panel that resists vibration.
MaestroUnite App: The MaestroUnite app (for Apple iOS 15.0+ and Android OS 7.0+) lets you create a unified system between the Attessa CD Transport and a Roksan Attessa Integrated or Streaming Amplifier. The MaestroUnite app provides setup, control, unified on/off status, and future firmware updates for the Attessa CD Transport and Integrated or Streaming Amplifier - all from a single app on your compatible mobile device. The MaestroUnite app connects via Bluetooth with the Attessa CD Transport and Integrated Amplifier, and connects via WiFi to the Attessa Streaming Amplifier.

Note: If there are no commands received for two minutes the display will turn off until a command is received, except when a CD is playing and then it will dim to half brightness after 10-15 seconds until the end of the CD or a command is received.
