Monster's Power Shield XL comes with a six-foot power cord and a magnetic wall-mounting plate, effectively letting you move those power connections anywhere it's convenient. It features four surge-protected AC outlets as well as a pair of USB-A charging ports.
How it works
The Power Shield XL is easy to set up and use. The included mounting plate attaches with adhesive to your wall — no drilling required. After the plate is in place, the extender unit attaches via a strong rare earth magnet. Then just plug the unit into the wall outlet and hook up your gear. Built-in surge protection is rated at 540 joules, enough to run small appliances.

Features
Overview: The Monster Power Shield XL Surge Suppressor and Hub Extender (2MNAC0328B0L2) protects your electrical equipment from power surges, while extending the reach of your wall outlets. Power Shield XL has four AC outlets and two USB charging ports with a flexible 6-foot cord. With the included adhesive-backed metal plate, you can magnetically mount the outlets on a wall or to a desk where you can conveniently power and protect your electrical equipment and charge your devices simultaneously.
Surge Protection: The Power Shield XL grounds and protects the AC outlets from power spikes that occur frequently in a home or office. The surge suppressor has a 540 Joule rating, which should be adequate for small electrical appliances.
AC Outlets: The Power Shield XL provides four 3-prong AC outlets to power your electrical devices. The outlets are polarized and grounded, with a 15A rating and a 1875 watt maximum. The outlets are located at the bottom of the Power Shield XL, and are spaced far enough apart to accommodate AC adapter plugs ("wall warts") with ease. LEDs glow to indicate when the outlets are grounded and protected.
USB Charging Ports: Across the top of the Power Shield XL are two USB-A charging ports for standard USB devices at 5V-2.4A. Together, the two USB ports output 17 watts of charging power.
Mounting: The Power Shield XL can be mounted to a wall without drilling or hardware. Included in the box is a metal plate (2-13/16" x 1-15/16") with a 3M VHB (Very High Bond) backing. The plate should be mounted to a clean wall or flat surface, wherever you want to place the outlets. Strong rare earth magnets on the back of the unit allow you to magnetically mount the Power Shield XL onto the plate. Once mounted, the Power Shield XL stays securely attached to the wall, with a flush, built-in look.
Note: The adhesive may become permanent over time.
Power Cord: The Power Shield XL has an attached 6-foot cord to extend the power strip to the wall outlet. The flexible cord has an elegant, double-braided nylon jacket that is durable and long-lasting. The power cord is terminated with a slim, right-angled plug that protrudes less than 3/4" from the outlet, perfect for tight spaces and behind furniture.
$50,000 Connected Equipment Warranty: The Monster Power Shield XL has a $50,000 Connected Equipment Warranty. Lifeworks Technology Group, LLC, parent company of Monster Power, will pay to repair or replace your connected equipment if it is damaged by a transient surge (except those caused by direct lightning) while properly connected to this surge protector. Payment will be an amount equal to the fair market value, or the original purchase price, whichever is less, up to $50,000, within the life of the surge protector.
