Great cameras for cold climates

I specifically bought this system with the older camera's because of the camera specifications for -40 degrees. So far in WI it's gotten down to -20 degrees and below and so far so good, working well in the temps. These cameras are rugged and allowed me to mount them about any configuration possible utilizing the lorex junction boxes sold separately. Pre wired my own CAT6 lines ahead of the build and terminated all the RJ45 ends for the built in POE of the NVR, less power adapters and wires is a plus and also a big selling point for lorex, no need for a separate Poe switch or individual power adapters etc.. This unit is a good solid sound colorful system, available with newer cameras even better but aren't rated for the -40 so depending on your climate it's a good thing to know ahead of time.. for the money it's a quality fair priced product, there's always something better for more money or something less for less money. I could have spent a lot more but if the cameras didn't function in the temps I need them there is no point of purchasing it.. Easy straight forward setup, complete with 98 foot cables. Audio on these particular cameras is incorporated into or comes over the Cat6 cable and separate audio cables not needed. Only downside is for more money I could have spent more money on shielded Cat6 cable and termination ends etc... I do pickup some RFI on some radio equipment I have. If you are looking for use in gov, state or county, better look into recent laws on brands
Pros: Cameras rated for -40 temperatures
Cons: RFI with unshielded cable that I utilized.. brand restrictions in gov, state and county use..
