Features
Marine Design: DS18's HYDRO Series marine speakers are designed for the harshest elements with UV protection and an IP65 weatherproof rating.
Construction:
- 6-1/2" Woofer: The DS18 CF-65M marine speakers feature a 6-1/2" injection-molded polypropylene woofer cone, supported by a Butyl rubber surround. A 1.2" voice coil with Kapton former material is stabilized by a Y35 ferrite main magnet combined with an N35 reverse neodymium magnet provide unparalleled performance.
- 1" Tweeter: The marine speaker also features a coaxially-mounted 1" PEI tweeter with a 1" voice coil and Kapton former supported by an N38H neodymium magnet.
- Basket: The CF-65M speakers feature an injection-molded composite basket with UV coating for long-lasting durability.
Power: The 4-ohm CF-65M 2-way speakers can handle 100 watts RMS (300 W peak).
RGB Lighting: The CF-65M marine speakers are outfitted with a built-in 7 color LED lighting system on the back of the grille frame that will light up the woofer cone when activated. Both speakers include a 47" input harness with RGB LED wiring. The harness is terminated in quick-slide connectors on one end of each wire and bare wire on the other end. The Black wire gets connected to a +12 volt source while the Red, Green, and Blue wires are used to activate their corresponding color when a ground is applied. An optional RGB lighting controller (sold separately - see Accessories) can provide a multitude of lighting modes.
Speaker Wiring: The DS18 CF-65M features two wiring terminals the speaker wiring. Two included 59" harnesses feature 0.250" and 0.187" connectors on one end for attaching to the speaker, and bare-ended wire on the other end for attaching to your headunit or amplifier.
Free-Air Mounting: The DS18 marine speakers are designed to be mounted without the need for an enclosure or box space. The 2-way speakers can be mounted to a baffle or bulkhead in a free-air configuration.
Speaker Grille: The CF-65M marine speakers feature fixed composite speaker grilles with stainless steel mesh for added speaker protection. The grilles are not removable.
