Features

Design: The SB212SV is an unloaded, ported enclosure for two 12" subwoofers. It's constructed of ¾" MDF (medium-density fiberboard) and covered in charcoal colored carpet.

Internal Box Volume: The enclosure has two separate chambers, each with a volume of 1.6 ft³. The tuning frequency is 39 Hz. While each sub has its own chamber, there is only one exterior port opening, and the subs share the last 13¾" of port length.

Terminals: The wire terminals are spring-posts (two pair) mounted on the back of the enclosure. The spring terminals will accept pin connectors and bare wire up to 12-gauge. Inside the enclosure there are 0.205" male quick-slides (will accept 0.205" female quick slides) for both the positive and negative terminals. The wire can also be attached using the nuts holding the quick-slides in place.

Note: Speaker wire is needed to connect the terminals to the subwoofers.

Brackets: Brackets for securing the enclosure in your vehicle are recommended.

Can this fit 2 JL 12w3's?

This SPL Boxes SB212SV is a good match for a pair if JL 12w3's, Dominick. The speakers work well in a box this size, and the slot-ported enclosure will provide maximum bass from an amp that provides up to 1000-watts RMS for the pair!

Will infinity kappa 12 inch subwoofer fit in these?

Greetings, and thank you for your question. The latest Kappa model 123WDSSI will fit the box, but the box does not have the amount of air space the Kappa needs. Each Kappa needs 2.5 cubic feet, and the box totals 3.2 cubic feet of air space. If you went with this box, you might want to stuff it with some box stuffing material.

I was unable to find a subwoofer online with the same model number as you've listed, but I did find information for the WDX12G3.4, which would be compatible with this enclosure.

Would a pair of America bass hawk series fit?

This SPL Boxes SB212SV is designed for 12" subwoofers and has a maximum depth of 12 1/16", so that covers the 7.8" depth of the massive Bass HAWK speakers. It does not look like a specific hole cutout size is listed on the specs for those speakers, and 12" speakers do vary so we cannot guarantee fit there. Since the Bass Hawk looks like a competition level subwoofer, it is really looking for a ported box with much larger internal volume. Running a single 12" Bass HAWK in the SPL box below could provide better results as it is a much larger ported box internally. Based on the specifications listed on Skar's web site for that subwoofer, this box is not a good match. It has too small an internal air space and is tuned to the wrong frequency. At this time, we do not have a ported box that can match those subwoofers. However, this may change in the future and I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to check our current offerings

Will the jl audio 12W1v3-4 work in this enclosure?

Greetings Sebastian, and thank you for your question. The SPL SB212SV is at 1.65 cubic feet per side, and the JL Audio 12W1v3 is looking for 1.6 cubic, cant get much closer than that.

According to the manual for those subwoofers, the mounting diameter is slightly smaller that the cutout for those subwoofers, you may need to fabricate a spacer to hold them in.

That box is not an exact match for the JL 12W7. The cut out diameter for the subwoofer is an inch too small so you would have to fabricate a spacer to get it to fit.

The Rockford Fosgate P3D2 in the link below IS a good physical fit, Joel. This SPL Boxes SB212SV Dual ported sub box's internal air space is 1.6 cubic feet per chamber which is slightly smaller than the ported box size Rockford recommends for the P3D2-12, but they will still sound great! Will the Kicker 44CVX124CompVX Series 12" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils fit this box?

This box isn't a great match for the Kicker 44CVX124 subs. These subs need a ported box volume of 1.75 - 2.25 cu. ft. per chamber and this SPL Box SB212SV has 1.6 cubic feet per chamber. Unfortunately we don't have a great dual ported box for that model Kicker subs at the moment.
