Features
HT-Air MKII Wireless: The REL HT-Air MKII wireless kit (sold separately) allows you to wirelessly send the subwoofer/LFE audio signal from your AV receiver or preamplifier/processor to select REL powered subwoofers or other brands of powered subs without having to run wires between the AV receiver/preamplifier and subwoofer. The HT-Air MKII wireless kit consists of a 5.8GHz wireless transmitter and receiver that plug into the subwoofer/LFE output of your AV receiver or preamp/processor and the stereo RCA/LFE input your compatible powered sub via RCA cables.
- Compatible REL Powered Subs: Compatible REL powered subwoofers include the HT/1003, HT/1205, HT/1510, Classic 98, Classic 99, and Tzero MKII.
- Other Compatible Powered Subs: The HT-Air MKII can also be used with other brands and models of powered subwoofers that feature a stereo RCA input, mono-RCA input, or LFE input.
Note: The REL HT-Air MKII is a one-to-one transmitter and receiver system. It cannot be combined with other transmitters and receivers.
5.8GHz Wireless: The HT-Air MKII employs REL's 3rd generation 5.8GHz chip, their most advanced single-chip solution. It's designed to allow continuous real-time streaming of bass sound from music and movies. The HT-Air MKII is easily capable of sending dynamic, rich-sounding sub-bass signals at up to approximately 40'. It delivers a lightning-fast response of around 17ms which results in better sound, greater dynamics, and higher performance.
- Wireless Transmitter (TX): The wireless transmitter (tx) features a set of stereo RCA inputs that will plug into the LFE out, subwoofer out, or stereo preout of your AV receiver, integrated amplifier, or preamplifier/processor. If your receiver, amplifier, or preamplifier has a LFE or mono-RCA sub output, then you only need to use the Right RCA input labeled ".1/LFE" on the wireless transmitter (tx). The wireless transmitter (tx) will wirelessly transmit subwoofer/LFE audio to the wireless receiver (rx).
- Wireless Receiver (RX): The wireless receiver (rx) features a set of stereo RCA outputs and will plug into the LFE in or stereo input of your compatible powered subwoofer.. If your powered subwoofer has a LFE or mono-RCA input, then you only need to use the Right RCA out labeled ".1/LFE" on the wireless receiver (rx). The wireless receiver (rx) will wirelessly receive subwoofer/LFE audio from the wireless transmitter (tx).
Note: It is not possible to use the HT-Air MkII's wireless connection and a direct connection simultaneously. Using both wired and wireless connections for your powered sub simultaneously could result in damage and voids all warranties.
Pairing: The wireless transmitter (tx) and wireless receiver (rx) each have a Pairing button on the rear-panel. You'll need to press each of these Pairing buttons to connect the transmitter (tx) and receiver (rx) together, so they can communicate with each other wirelessly.
Power Requirements: The wireless transmitter and receiver of the REL HT-Air MKII will both require AC power and each come with an AC power adapter that will need to be plugged into an AC wall outlet.
