First of all, it's a great looking unit/subwoofer. And its' finish is a sleek shiny white metal and fits in nicely with light or white decor of the room. And its' much smaller than my previous Klipsch subwoofer. My wife loves it. The sound is really good and a little bit different than what I had for many years. It's not the heart pounding type of subwoofer. I used and connected the enclosed Neutrik Speakon cable and also connected the .1/LFE RCA input cable from the subwoofer output on my receiver.

Pros: new, sleek, and once attached sounds great.

Cons: You have to attach the other end of the Neutrik cable wires to the left and right main speakers on the receiver. In my case this was very difficult because the monster cable rca jacks to the main speaker jacks, on the receiver, leave little room for the wires to be pushed in with the jacks. Once attached, it works fine.

Great purchase. Didn't know what I was missing. The REL T/7x definitely adds the punch and creates that concert feel to my classic rock.

For the music lover this is one amazing sub!

This is one amazing subwoofer. I have it paired with KEF LS50 Wireless II speakers, and my main listening is from Hi-Res Tidal over WiFi. I also use this setup for music videos via HDMI from my TV. I am very impressed with the detail in the base this sub provides as well as the fact that it seems to improve the soundstage. It is not the deepest bass I have ever heard, but it is also not at all muddy. If you are setting up a surround system for home theater and looking for chest-thumping bass this may not be for you. For the music lover, however, it would be hard to find a more accurate and detailed sounding bass speaker. I am VERY impressed and thinking of replacing my Klipsch Reference subs in my main stereo system with REL's.

Pros: Amazing bass detail with great improvement to my system's sound stage. Very musical. Super impressive with string bass where overtones and harmonics are clearly audible.

Cons: Not the deepest bass possible. May not be best for a large home theater system where chest-thumping base is the goal. If that is what you are after you may want to look to one of the larger REL subs.

REL T/7x

Excellent subwoofer. I already owned one of these and bought this one to run duals, and it greatly improved the sound: low end is smoother and spread evenly throughout the room (no localization issues), seems to bring the higher frequencies out even more, etc. The sub itself is a great one: easy to integrate with speakers, puts out lots of low-end, and looks beautiful. Highly recommend two of these for anyone looking to add a sub to their system.
