Well constructed, surprisingly light-weight!

I thought these were going to weigh a ton, but they are surprisingly light-weight. The sound on them is fantastic and pairing is straight-forward. I have another pair of OSDs (AP640 6.5" outdoor speakers) that I think may have better bass response, but they're mounted above the ear instead of below (and on the mulch) so comparison is pretty tough. For a front-yard party with 20+ people, these were plenty loud even at 1/4 volume. BT reception was okay, cut out a bit as BT does when I walked into the house (about 30' away) but that's to be expected. Installation was really easy, wires came pre-stripped and ready to connect. I really like that they came with an additional length of speaker wire + the wire nuts needed to finish the installation. It's only $4 worth of extra parts and I'm so glad there are still companies left that include these sort of "last-mile" accessories. I haven't tested any of the weatherproof features/claims.

The powered speakers have plenty of volume. However the speakers do not have volume control so connecting to a receiver is not an option. Connecting to a cell phone for example allows volume control.

No Connection/Power Up

Junk! I used these last summer. They did sound pretty good! Put them away for winter. Take them out put back on deck today and they don't work. They just don't make anything that last anymore. Smh.

Cons: No on/off power switch to tell if the power box went bad or something else wrong. Won't turn on/connect to BT anymore after 1 summer.

LOWS NOT THAT LOW

I purchased these strictly because of the advertised bass capabilities. I do admit they're better than most outdoor speakers we've had, but they just don't produce the mids and lows that I was hoping for. One thing that did seem to help a noticeable amount was to set them right up against a pool foundation wall, turn them around and fire them directly at the wall. This improved the bass sound out on our dock.
Pros: SUPER EASY hook up. Bluetooth linking was hands off and immediate.
Cons: Needs more power for the bass signal. Needs more than 10' of speaker cable.

Poor product

Bought these speakers just over a year ago, for a lake house. Speakers were stored indoors all the time. They were used about 10 times last year. Plugged them in at the beginning of summer this year and they no longer worked. Tech support had no answers. Bad product, don't waste your money.

Very clear and transparent sound. There is no hint of headroom limitations and the sound is unexpectedly good. Overall, there is a lack of bass below 200Hz (which is not unexpected), and they seem to have a bit of emphasis in the upper harmonics over 4kHz. That emphasis is not to be taken as a negative... it's just a preference thing. These sound remarkably better at full volume because the bass response improves dramatically. At ~20' (across the pool) with max volume I measured an average of 80dB, C-weighted, slow response. I used Fields of Gold by Sting for that test. That's plenty of volume, and maybe even a bit much for a civilized party where you want to talk to people. For a Rave, it's not going to get it done. The connection range is good, but the bluetooth technology is the limiting factor and it could be a problem for you if you want to wander very far away. MEASURE YOUR SPACE PRIOR TO PURCHASING. I get 30' and no more.

I am a music lover It was one of my best days once I had finished the installation of the outdoor wonderful speakers, this past weekend I had a good 50 guests at my backyard and everyone of them had a good feedback, 1st thing was (where is the music was coming from) of course, I had the 2 speakers hiding under my shrubs. Pure sound and great quality Highly recommended!

The speakers were easy to set up and sound good. I wish the bluetooth range was a bit greater and that they had a power button to turn off the speakers. They only way to turn the speakers off its to unplug the cord from the outlet. Short of this, anytime my phone is in range, whether I want to use the speakers or not, they are trying to pair with my phone. Other than that I am generally satisfied with these speakers

Great sound 14' apart easy hook up I put mine on a switched outlet speaker have no off built in. Bluetooth needs more range but ok. They do sound great.

Easy to setup and they sound great. My only complaint is I wish the cable between the speakers was longer. I would like to get a little more separation between speakers. That is really the only reason I gave it four stars.

These sound surprisingly good, they're simple to connect, and they look great in my garden.

Cons: If you want to switch between sources, you have to disconnect bluetooth on the first devicebefore connecting the second.

These are a great budget friendly option. We have them out by the Pool and really enjoy the quality of sound they produce.

Needs a bit more power

Coming from 15 year old OSD 8" rock speakers we are a bit disappointed. The sound quality is good but lacks some punch and for a large property, also lacks some power. We are happy with them and the brand, but I see going with the wired 850's in the near future. OSD is top quality as far as I'm concerned. They should have given these a real amp, then the third have it! There is room in the market for a premium Bluetooth speaker system. This is close, but leaves room for improvement.

No Bluetooth working

Got them on the mail today. I hooked them up and followed the instructions and very disappointing that none of my devices could find the Bluetooth for these speakers. I called Crutchfield support and did troubleshooting just to learn that I got a defective item. So now I am returning. It just was not meant to be.

Very impressed !!!!! Speakers are placed around 15 ft apart on patio & angled for a sweet spot around 20 ft away. Great stereo sound & no issues with volume all the way up on iPhone 13, no clipping or distortion. Only takes about 5 minutes after unpacking to have it up & going. You can still hear these speakers fairly clear at my mailbox roughly 250 ft away. They rock, specially for an outdoor speaker...
