This is a solid, simple and well-engineered solution. I wish it was easier to attach the speaker wires to the device. Otherwise 100%!

Just What We Needed

This is the perfect selector box for our very simple stereo system. It allows us to choose up to 4 pairs of speakers so we can have music playing inside and outside or choose just one room. We would highly recommend this product.

Pretty nice unit but I just think there is a noticeable sound quality difference when using the selector switch. When I engage the protection switch it sounds better even with just one pair is in operation. When I disengage the protection button the system sounds less bass. But overall the osd selector switch oes what it's supposed to do.

I connected 4 whole house speaker pairs to the switch and it performs perfectly. It is well constructed. The chassis and cover are metal which makes it feel sturdy and substantial. The instructions shipped with the switch appeared to be an old version. I downloaded a newer/better version from the OSD site. The rear connectors are separable which makes it much easier to terminate the wire. It takes a fair amount of effort to pull the connectors apart, and be sure to make sure they are fully seated when plugging them back in. The screws on the connectors are very small and require a #1 Philips head screwdriver.

Very pleased so far

Have not installed this yet but I can say I am VERY impressed by the built quality. Mechanical switches seem solid and I love the fact that the connectors can be removed from the unit to allow speaker wires to be connected securely. The protection circuit is an added bonus. Honestly, I didn't expect much out of this for the price, But I am very happy with what I received.

Combination solution

Really good solution offered by Crutchfield. The amp was combined with Songbird and a speaker selector. We have all our options covered. RCA from turntable, Bluetooth, Echo (not Dot), WiFi and data dongle.

Faulty input connector

I'm using this in my RV to engage or disengage speakers because the stereo zone buttons don't work. It works well... but for only the left-side speakers. Wiggling the input connection, the right side will sporadically get audio so it's a connector issue. I disassembled the unit and checked all solders, and everything looks intact. For the money, I'll try a replacement unit and see if that works.

Great way to expand my network receivers to multiple areas in the house. As expected vol decreases as more speakers are selected. Would have given 5 stars if there was a wifi control option.
