2--Way Driver Design: The OSD Audio BK-R63A in-ceiling speaker employs a 2-way driver design featuring a 1" ceramic coated aluminum dome tweeter with integrated waveguide and an 6.5" carbon fiber cone woofer with TPR surround for full-range sound from your home theater setup.

• 1" Ceramic Coated Aluminum Dome Tweeter: The 1" ceramic coated aluminum dome tweeter provides crisp, clear, and distortion free high frequencies. The tweeter's integrated waveguide helps to evenly distribute your music or movie soundtracks high frequencies for a well balanced sound.
• 6.5" Carbon Fiber Cone Woofer: The 6.5" carbon fiber cone woofer delivers smooth midbass and deep bass frequencies. The woofer surround is fabricated from injection molded Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR); a copolymer that has superior damping characteristics and greater resistance to chemicals, UV and pollutants.

Angled Design: The BK-R63A in-ceiling loudspeaker incorporates 15-degree angled baffle for the mid/bass woofer, plus a pivoting mechanism for the high frequency tweeter for application & placement flexibility. Due to its angled design, OSD Audio BK-R63A can be utilized as a Front, Center, or Rear channel speaker in a home theater setup. The angled design allows the ideal placement in the ceiling closer to the wall just above the monitor. This creates a more realistic sound image when compared to normal in-ceiling speakers that are mounted closer to directly above the viewing area. Standard in-ceiling speakers are generally placed at least 3' from the wall to avoid reflective sound, while the angled BK-R63A speaker can be placed within a 1' of the wall.

Tweeter Level: You can adjust the output level of the tweeter to -3dB, 0dB, or +3dB. The tweeter level control is located on the front baffle behind the detachable grille. Highly reflective "live" rooms benefit from a -3dB reduction, while fabric-heavy "dead" rooms will sound better with tweeter boosted +3dB.

Spring Post Terminals: The OSD Audio BK-R63A in-ceiling speaker is outfitted with a set of spring post terminals that accept bare wire (up to 12AWG), pin-connectors, and banana plugs (single only).

• For wire lengths of less than 50', use at least 16-gauge in-wall rated speaker wire (CL3/FT4).
• For wire lengths between 50' and 100', use at least 14-gauge in-wall rated speaker wire CL3/FT4).
• For wire lengths of greater than 100', use at least 12-gauge in-wall rated speaker wire (CL3/FT4).

Mounting Options: The OSD Audio BK-R63A features a "dog leg" (L-shaped) mounting system that is part of the frame to secure the speaker in the ceiling. The speaker requires a round cutout that measures 8.25" (diameter) x 4.625" (depth). Its outer frame measures " 9.8125" (diameter) x 0.25" (depth). The "dog leg" (L-shaped) mounting system accommodates a 0.25" to 1.25" thick ceiling. Make sure to leave at least 0.75" of open space (without obstruction) around the cutout above the ceiling, so the speaker's "dog leg" mount system will have room to engage fully.

Low-Profile Magnetic Grille: The low-profile magnetic grille is removable and can be painted to better match the color of your ceiling. The low-profile grille only protrudes 0.25" from the ceiling's surface.
