Wall plate worked well. Replaced a four point plate the contractor installed, which doesn't work for front and rear surround sound.

Used for rear speakers so no more cables running around the room. Super easy to install and look great. Impressed with the quality.
Pros: Look and sound great.
Cons: In theory this accepts banana plugs from front and back which is what I had planned. However, the connections are not deep enough to do both at the same time (at least with the Crutchfield plugs I was using). Just connected the in wall wires directly to the binding posts, which probably made more sense anyway.

They give a professional finish. But it can be improved if they have an additional pin to attach to the speaker wire. Hole too big . Maybe they were designed for 90° insulated pins. Crutchfield need a website improvement so, customers can find "SPEAKER ACCESORIES"

Impressed with the quality of the product. Unfortunately, I haven't installed/used it yet due to the fact that my remodeling project is not complete. Once I'm able to install it, I think it will definitely help simplify the installation process when it's time to set up my audio/video equipment. Very happy with the service I received from Crutchfield and will gladly buy from them again!

Tired of an eye sore of wires hanging around behind your home theater setup? Don't want to drill through your hardwood or into your ceiling? The OSD WP-8 is a great solution! With a little elbow grease, a razor knife, drywall knife, wire strippers, single gang mounting box, and some in-wall speaker wire - you can give your system the professional look you didn't know you were missing. No more running wires under carpet, along the edge of the wall, or up along the ceiling moulding, and we couldn't be happier. We used two sets for our rear left & rear right surround speakers, and the other two sets feed our outdoor speakers on the porch. Perfect fit! If you're doing it yourself (like most Crutchfield-ers) you can check the YouTube video with Norm for some tips.
Pros: Easy to install, clean professional look, works with banana plugs or speaker wire, had the right number of connections for our setup.

I used several of these to complete a recroom wiring project, eliminating most visible wiring by running it in the interior walls. These worked well: at first, I used bare wire connections but then switched to banana connectors. I am pleased with the results. Mike
