Features

2.1Ch Wireless Surround & Subwoofer Kit: The OSD Audio Nero WRSKII 2.1ch wireless surround & subwoofer kit lets you add wireless rear speakers and wireless powered subwoofer connectivity to your existing AV receiver and home theater system. The OSD Audio Nero WRSKII includes a compact wireless transmitter and wireless receiver/amplifier that lets you enjoy surround sound without the hassle of of running speaker wire and a subwoofer cable around your room.

  • Wireless Transmitter: The included wireless transmitter has speaker-level and line-level inputs (use one or the other, not both), and a subwoofer input. Speaker wire or an RCA cable and a subwoofer cable connect the wireless transmitter to your AV receiver. It transmits a wireless 5.8GHz audio signal to the Nero WRSKII's wireless receiver/amplifier.
  • Wireless Receiver/Amplifier: The receiver/amplifier receives a wireless 5.8GHz audio signal from the WRSKII's wireless transmitter and powers your passive surround speakers with its built-in 25W x 2ch (8-ohm) / 50W x 2ch (4-ohm) amplifier, while also sending a LFE signal to your connected powered sub. The receiver/amplifier connects to your passive rear surround loudspeakers and powered subwoofer using its speaker-level outputs and a subwoofer output. Speaker wire and a subwoofer cable are run between the wireless receiver/amplifier and your passive surround speakers and powered sub.

Note: You'll still need to run speaker wire or an RCA cable, and a subwoofer cable between the wireless transmitter and your AV receiver, as well as speaker wire and a subwoofer cable between the wireless receiver and your rear surround speakers and powered sub. Speaker wire and subwoofer cables are sold separately (see Accessories Tab).

5.8GHz Wireless Transmission: The OSD Audio Nero WRSKII utilizes fast and reliable wireless 5.8GHz technology to wirelessly transmit and receive surround and subwoofer audio between your AV receiver, rear speakers, and powered sub. It features 34-channel selection that ensures signal integrity every time. It can wirelessly transmit a full-range 20Hz to 20kHz audio signal between the transmitter and receiver/amplifier for your rear surround speakers, while also wirelessly transmitting a 20Hz to 200Hz LFE audio signal to your connected powered sub. The Nero WRSKII can transmit and receive a wireless audio signal up to 100'.

Built-In Amplifier: The included wireless receiver also features a built-in 25W x 2ch (8-ohm) / 50W x 2ch (4-ohm) amplifier that powers your connected passive rear surround speakers. A volume control on the wireless receiver/amplifier balances the sound between your rear surround speakers and the rest of the speakers in your system.

Speaker Inputs/Outputs: The wireless transmitter is equipped with speaker-level inputs that connect to the your AV receiver's Surround or Surround Back speaker-level outputs using speaker wire (sold separately), while the wireless receiver/amplifier is outfitted with speaker-level outputs that connect to the speaker-level terminals on your passive rear surround speakers. The transmitter's speaker-level inputs are spring-clip terminals that will accept up to 14-gauge bare wire or pin-connectors (not compatible with banana plugs). The receiver/amplifier's speaker-level outputs are binding posts that will accept up to 12-gauge bare wire, pin-connectors, or banana plugs (single or ¾" wide dual). The Nero WRSKII can wirelessly transmit a full-range 20Hz to 20kHz audio signal between the transmitter and receiver/amplifier.

Note: You'll still need to configure surround speaker setup, configuration, and settings on your AV receiver.

Stereo RCA Input: The wireless transmitter is also equipped with a stereo RCA input to connect to your AV receiver's or AV preamplifier's Surround or Surround back pre-outs using a stereo RCA cable (sold separately). The stereo RCA input will be used if you have an AV preamplifier with pre-outs and no built-in amplifier or speaker-level outputs. The Nero WRSKII can wirelessly transmit a full-range 20Hz to 20kHz audio signal between the transmitter and receiver/amplifier.

Note: The wireless transmitter's speaker-level inputs and stereo RCA inputs cannot be used simultaneously; choose one or the other based on your AV receiver or preamplifier outputs.

Subwoofer Input/Output: The wireless transmitter is outfitted with a mono-RCA subwoofer input that connects to your AV receiver's LFE subwoofer output using a mono-RCA cable (sold separately), while the wireless receiver/amplifier is equipped with a mono-RCA subwoofer output that connects to the LFE subwoofer input of your powered sub using a mono-RCA cable (sold separately). The Nero WRSKII wirelessly transmits a 20Hz to 200Hz between the subwoofer input of the transmitter and subwoofer output of the wireless receiver/amplifier.

Note: You'll still need to adjust subwoofer configuration, setup, and bass management on your AV receiver and powered sub.

Mounting & Placement Options: The transmitter and receiver/amplifier must be placed within 100' of one another for optimum performance. They can be placed horizontally on a flat tabletop surface or mounted vertically on the wall using their integrated keyhole slots (mounting screws not included).

  • Horizontal Tabletop Dimensions: 6.9375" (w) x 1.375" (h) x 5.5625" (d)
  • Wall-Mount Dimensions: 5.5625" (w) x 6.9375" (h) x 1.375" (d)

Auto On/Off: When an audio signal is detected by the transmitter, both the transmitter and receiver/amplifier will automatically turn on. If there is no audio signal input for approximately 17 minutes, both the transmitter and receiver/amplifier automatically turn off and enter Standby mode.

AC Power Adapters: The wireless transmitter and wireless receiver/amplifier will each require an AC power connection. Each device includes an AC power adapter that plugs into the back of the transmitter and receiver/amplifier, as well as into an AC power outlet or surge protector (sold separately).

Q
Is there an alternative to this that has analog outs that I can connect to a power amp of my choosing instead of directly to speakers? Or would that be overkill and the amp in this is fine?

I'm looking to use the OSD Nero WRSKII to connect my second subwoofer (active) and additionally two rear back speakers. Would you recommend it?

Greetings Mauri. Thank you for your question. This will do exactly as described. You will have to also run a subwoofer cable into the transmitter, and then out the receiver to the active subwoofer.

Q
I am looking to add speakers outside using my A-B setting on my Cambridge AXR100 so that I have music inside and outside. the description specifically says that the are for surround setup. would this work the way i am imaging? Please advise.
nick  Feb 20, 2024
1 answer
A
Adding a pair of speakers in another location is a great way to take advantage of the capabilities of your Cambridge receiver, Nick. The OSD Nero WRSKII is designed for rear surrounds channels in a home theater setup, and I am not sure it is the best choice here. It is not rated for outdoor use and has a maximum operating range of 100-feet (line of sight required). I would not recommend it for your application unless you could install under those requirements. For the best performance and reliability, use the OSD 16/2 CL3 and burial-rated speaker wire in the link below to directly connect your outdoor speakers to your Cambridge AXR100. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_452J16225B/OSD-16-2-CL3-Speaker-Cable-250-feet-Black.html

Q
My OSD NERO works great. My question is the transmitter and receiver do not go into standby mode when the amplifier is off.Just wanted to know if this is normal or is it a problem with it being on all the time?
frank  Nov 09, 2023
1 answer
A
The OSD NERO should go into standby mode after 17 minutes with no audio signal, Frank. The LED light on the transmitter should change from Blue to Green when entering standby mode. We provide lifetime Technical Support, so if you need us to help troubleshoot do not hesitate to call us at 1-888-292-2575 with your order number ready and we would be happy to help!

Q
Can volume of wireless speakers be controlled from stereo amplifier's volume knob? Or would I have to adjust volume in 2 locations (at amp + at wireless receiver) every time I want to rock out for a song or two?
beverage  Aug 27, 2023
1 answer
A
Thanks for your question, Scott. You'll adjust the OSD's receiver's VOL +/- control to balance the front and rear speaker sound level. This step is only necessary during first time installation of the speaker kit with your system. After balance setup, you'll use the volume control on your receiver to adjust speaker volume during playback.

Q
Will this work for my klipsch refrence atmos speakers? Klipsch
michael  Jul 06, 2023
1 answer
A
The OSD Nero WRSKII could be used to power two Dolby Atmos height channels. This means that they could be used to power Klipsch Reference Atmos speakers. However, if you're using Klipsch Atmos tower speakers, it would only be possibly to power either the main section of the speakers or the height channels, but not both.

Q
Can you use more than one of these at a time on one AVR?
andrew  Nov 29, 2022
1 answer
A
Yes. However, it will be important to ensure that each set of transmitter/receiver is on a different channel than the other set or sets.
zachary  Dec 01, 2022 (Staff)
Q
Does this connect to the surround back pre outs or to the speaker outs on a marantz sr 6015 ?
jeff  Oct 10, 2022
1 answer
A
This can connect to either. The transmitter unit has both speaker-level and line-level inputs.
