Before he founded Tributaries in 1991, owner Joe Perfito spent 15 years working for McIntosh Laboratory, Inc. Cables made of wire require a metal-to-metal connection to transfer the signal between components. Optical cables carry signals as pulses of light rather than a stream of electrons. That means they're virtually impervious to magnetic or electrical interference. This cable uses a 1mm crystal-clear fiber core, and the connectors are the polished ends of the fiber itself. The "lenses" of this cable are machine-polished to reduce light refractions, so it can deliver your music with clear, uncolored brilliance.
