Reference-grade stereo interconnect for your turntable

Before he founded Tributaries in 1991, owner Joe Perfito spent 15 years working for McIntosh Laboratory, Inc. Back then, he says, the concept of designing cables based on sound scientific principles was considered extremely radical. That became his company's mission, though, and it continues to produce audio cables designed to curtail distortion, deliver reliable tonal balance, and reduce the noise floor to near zero to bring your music to life with rich detail.

Solid copper conductors for a super-clean turntable signal

These cables use ultra-pure, highly conductive, linear crystal oxygen free copper (LC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications. Each conductor features individually insulated solid (rather than stranded) gauge wires that allow for smooth, transparent, distortion-free signal transfer from your turntable.

Twin-axial design with gold-plated connectors

The Series 8PC cables use a precision-twisted twin-axial design with dedicated positive and negative conductors, plus dual shieding and gold-plated RCA connectors made with highly conductive tellurium copper. That way, you'll get a clean, neutral signal transfer that lets the music from your vinyl come through with clear, uncolored brilliance.

Because the signal coming from a turntable is much weaker than from line-level sources, turntable inputs are much more sensitive to hum, buzz, and noise. That's why this set of cables includes a robust ground wire terminated with gold-plated spade lugs for attaching to your turntable's and input's ground posts.

Model 8PC MKII Phono Cable Kit: The Tributaries Series 8 Model 8PC MKII phono cable kit is comprised of high-grade stereo audio RCA cables and a ground wire. The design and configuration of the Model 8PC phono cable kit ensures a clear signal transfer with overall noise rejection as close to balanced as possible, resulting in an accurate and neutral sound from your vinyl record collection.

High-Grade Stereo RCA Cables: The stereo RCA cables are engineered with extremely high-grade linear crystal copper (LC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications. Tributaries LC-OFC is carefully drawn to produce a low crystal volume per foot resulting in less signal loss and distortion. Each 20AWG conductor consists of multiple solid gauges that are mathematically and tonally chosen to support low, mid and high frequencies for a natural sounding cable. Individually insulating each conductor yields zero strand interaction and better sound quality. The precision-twisted Twin-Axial design of the Series 8 phono cable has dedicated conductors for the positive signal and negative return signal, plus a heavy shield that is connected to the source end only. In this design the shield will capture any induced interference sending it to ground at the source end thereby isolating noise away from the input stage of the load.
High Quality Connectors & Jacket: The stereo RCA cables are terminated by gold-plated, Tellurium copper RCA male connectors, and features a decorative woven jacket over flexible PVC.
Silver-Plated Ground Wire: The ground wire is a 14AWG silver-plated, stranded wire terminated with a gold-plated spade lug that will fit ground posts that are 4mm and smaller.
