I haven't used with a usb mic, however I connected some usb devices to iPhone using it without an issue (such as Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt DAC and Oppo HA-2 SE DAC).

Sorry. Simply don't know. I use mine to play music from my phone thru a Dragonfly DAC with a USB connection
