Overview: The PetSafe Happy Ride® Collapsible Travel Crate (ZTV00-17289) provides peace of mind as you travel in your car with your pet. The crate safely and securely fastens to the car's back seat by the seat belt and front seat headrest. The roomy travel crate keeps your companion contained, but not restrained, and keeps your dog from freely roaming around the car while you're driving. It takes up only one seat, allowing room for other (human) passengers. The mesh front and sides provide plenty of visibility and ventilation for a more comfortable ride. When the ride is complete, you can fold up the travel crate for easy flat storage. The crate measures 19" wide, 29-1/8" in height, and 28-1/4" front-to-back, and weighs about 6-1/4 pounds. It is compatible with pets up to 60 pounds.

Security: The Happy Ride Travel Crate can be securely installed in your car between the front and rear seats. The rear seat belt travels through slits in the rear of the crate, providing a secure anchor. The seat belt remains out of sight to prevent your pet from chewing on it. On the front is an adjustable headrest strap, which can be placed around the front seat, if needed. Depending on the size of the vehicle, you may be required to slide the front seat forward so the crate will fit. It is possible that the Travel Crate will not fit in some sub-compact vehicles.

Zippered Doors: The crate has two doors that fully unzip, making it easy to get your pet in and out of the car. Two storage pockets are provided for treats, leashes, toys, and other supplies. These storage pockets have hook-and-loop closures. Two drawstring openings, one in each door, let you reach in and attend to your pet without unzipping the door.

Floor Pad: The bottom of the crate features a 19" x 18" rigid floor with a 1/2" thick pad to keep your pet comfortable. The removable fleece cover is waterproof and machine washable to keep it fresh. Hook-and-loop strips on each end secure the floor pad to the travel crate. In fact, the entire outer shell of the travel crate can be removed from the frame and machine washed, if needed. The pad cover and shell should be air dried.

Setup and Breakdown: The Happy Ride Collapsible Travel Crate includes a rigid inner frame with four lockable hinges, two in the front and two in the back. Once the crate is expanded, and the frame locked, the floor pad can be placed inside and secured with the hook-and-loop fasteners. A leather handle on the outer shell allows you to easily carry the crate when expanded. To break down the crate, simply unlock the four hinges and collapse the frame to allow it to fold flat. After placing the pad inside and zipping the door, the crate collapses to a width of less than 5 inches for easy storage.
