Buggy software and zero support from Alpine

I spent a large amount of money on this thing, because I wanted all those channels of DSP. The software is easy to understand, but the problem is that the settings don't stick. I managed to finally get all crossovers set after 3 sessions, but haven't managed to to get the equalizer to do anything noticeable. I've sent 2 emails to support about it, but I haven't had a response. (Yes, I check the junk folder) They did however immediately sign me up for marketing emails after sending in the support request. Could be an absolute winner of a product, if the software wasn't so bad... Unfortunately, I'm going to just have to break down and PAY an Alpine dealer to set the DSP up, and I suspect I'll get charged plenty of hours, since the software is so bad.

I applied this amplifier to a 4-speaker + sub speaker setup in a '97 Corolla.. The outcome was overwhelmingly great; way more than I expected. My speakers are rated at 100w RMS, take quite a bit of power to push effectively, but even at 50w per channel it is outperforming my older 90w/ch amplifier. The power/quality this amp produces is incredible, especially when playing 192kHz/24-bit music. Even when playing Pandora or other internet radio stations over the amp's bluetooth, not using hi-res, this amp is unmatched compared to any previous amplifier I have heard/owned. 10/10 would recommend!

Pros: Crystal clear, rich sound quality at low or high volumes. Hi-Res playback. Ability to use amp as a preamp or chain a second amp to ch 13/14 while using main 12 channels. Ability to use amp's bluetooth input to bypass head unit as a source. Features galore.

Cons: Slight learning curve if not used to application-based DSP amplifiers. Once you get the hang of it, it's not bad!
