This made my install clean and simple. Purchase the JSCAN app and a Bluetooth OBD adapter and you're good to go. Way cheaper than taking to a dealership or purchasing the $250 PAC adapter

Pros: Easy install

Cons: None

I Bought this after contacting Crutchfield. Seems i did not fully understand the requirements for connecting the Crux camera I purchased earlier. Anyway, it works as needed, but I also needed to take my Wrangler to the dealer to get the Head Unit re-flashed to make it all work. Camera $50, Harness $20, Re-flash $160. $230.00 total to add back up camera

Couldn't be simpler

Crutchfield customer from Prior Lake, MN on 5/20/2019

Couldn't be simpler or more effective/price effective. I installed in two cars. Both were Wranglers one with a 430 Radio, and one with a 430N radio. Basically just plugs in a port in the back of the unit. The port was unused in my radio, but I think might be used if something like a in car entertainment system is there (unlikely in a jeep). But easy to tell if it exists in a jeep. I think there was 2 pieces of trim to remove (with about 4 screws and some snaps), and then 4 screws in the radio and it slips right out. Couldn't be simpler. On the wrangler at least you either need to pay the dealer some money to turn on the camera function (but this does automatically know when your car goes in reverse, and switches the display on) or you can buy things like and ODB Genie to do it yourself. Some dealers might play a game with the price, but you shouldn't be charged less than 30 minutes of labor to do it. It only takes 10.....maybe $75 tops?? Mine just did it while I was there for other service.

I used this pluf along with a basic lockpick To install a backup camera in my 2014 JK Wrangler without needing to have the dealership flash it. It was less expensive than buying the more expensive lockpick with backup camera option.

I found about this reading the wrangler forum. Ordered with a license plate camera. I now have a great backup camera. Had to pay dealership to enable. More than the cost of both pieces of hardware.

Works as intended

This worked to enable the backup camera on my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The harness enabled the factory head unit to connect with an Alpine after market backup camera. In my case to make the backup camera work I also had to have the dealer enable the factory radio screen as the backup monitor. I am happy with the results.

Pros:

Cons: None

This worked to enable the backup camera on my son's 2013 Chrysler 200. The harness allowed the CONNECT 730N RHR radio head unit to connect with an after market backup camera. In our case to make the backup camera work we also had to have the dealer enable the factory radio screen as the backup monitor. We are very happy with the results.

Pros: Worked, installed easily, reasonable price.

Cons: None so far.
