Don't buy

Don't but this product it's not working right for apple CarPlay feels like I got ripped off and I had to paying $140 to get put in I'm disgusted

This is a very nicely woven together set of cables and looks really good when installed into the dash location. My only suggestion is that they offer this in shorter cable lengths. i could not find this setup with anything shorter than 15' it is really difficult to hide 15' of cables inside of the dash lol.

Alpine KCU-315UH

This was a great add to my Halo 309 and now my 511. Cleans up the look in my 2018 Tundra with the ability to have a DVD and the USB/CarPlay ports. I really don't know how I would have had the DVD port without it. I installed where a cigarette charging port used to be. It felt a little expensive when putting in the cart, but 2 years later I would have not wanted to go with out it.

Check that it works before drilling into your dash

Android Auto did not work using this and my S22 Ultra. Works flawlessly with a known good cable plugged directly into the back of my stereo. Buyer beware.

It looks really great, but did not work for me, a lot of work to install it just to find out that maybe because the length of the cable phone charge is not functional nor android auto or Apple car play, there is cheaper alternatives to this one not looking as great as this one but working better, I thing for the price alpine can make better product.

Alpine KCU-315UH

Installed the KCU-315UH along with a new receiver so that I would have easy access to the HDMI and USB inputs without needing to fish around in the glove box or have annoying dangling wires to contend with. Also I wanted a cleaner finish to the installation. This item does the trick. After drilling the prescribed hole and snapping it in to place, it stays put and works flawlessly. The only downside is the rather long bulky cable that needs to be stowed somewhere as others have noted. In my case it wasn't really an issue as I had ample space below the dash out of site where, after rolling it up and zip tying it, I was able to zip tie it securely in place out of site. I would recommend thinking through where you are going to locate it and stow the cable before purchasing. It's compact but as it turns out, even in my Ford F-350, dashboard real estate is tight. I have attached a photo. It is located just above the left air vent.

Plug and play 4runner halo 9

Product is awesome , quality could be better. Top portion of dash doesn't look as smooth as original . Dash kit also only comes with two holes to screw to dash and plastic from adapter kit is a bit flimsy . Fingers crossed

Great product, too much cable

So far as it stands I would like to give it 5 stars but the only reason for 4 stars is because of the unnecessary length and the lack of choice to purchase a shorter one. Other than that it solved the issues I was having when a professional audio installer connected my aftermarket head unit (Alpine) to my jeep's factory USB and no HDMI. Doing that i could never get my Android Auto to work never the less using this cable the problem has been resolved so yes great product but unnecessary length. Still I'm very happy with it.

A Must Have!!!

This is awesome and a must have if you have an HDMI input on your receiver. I purchased this to go along with my ILX-207. I'm also thinking about purchasing it for my older Kenwood receiver in another vehicle that has an HDMI input. I removed a 12v power outlet and replaced the outlet with this and it looks OEM though I did remove the flap cover to allow it to fit without any modification. Provides easy access to both the USB and HDMI without having cords hanging out of the dash or console. The only draw back it the endless amount of cord if you mount the hub close to the receiver like mine is. It would be nice if this was available in different cord lengths.

Perfect for adding a USB port to an older car

I installed this extension cable when I installed the Alpine iLX-207 receiver in my 2006 Toyota Matrix XRS. I replaced the center console cigarette lighter socket with this cable and the end result looks like great, like the car came with that outlet. It's allowed me to plug in my iPhone and use the iLX-207's CarPlay feature while keeping my phone charged. The one caveat that I have is the cable is too long (15 feet) for my small car, requiring the excess cable to be wrapped up and stuffed under the center console. If you have an older car that doesn't have any USB ports, you need to purchase this extension cable if you replace your factory receiver with any Alpine receivers.

Provided this cable to my installer for installation in my 2012 Honda Ridgeline. Connects the Alpine in dash unit and was installed in the center console. Works great and the installer intends to use it on other vehicles.
