Big Improvement for 2024 Silverado

2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Purchased these to replace OEM speakers in the front door and dash of a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado, non-Bose. I had installed a Kenwood KAC-M3004 amplifier, 50 watts RMS x 4 x 4 ohms previously along with a Sound Ordinance B-8PTD powered sub. The new amp and sub helped the truck a bit but didn't really make a lot of difference. But the R2-S69C speakers really changed it. Much better mid range and the highs really pop. Very clean sound. The powered sub now has something to compliment. Big difference, highly recommend. Crutchfield was spot on with adding the installation items to the order without me having to research and wonder if I ordered enough things. Delivery was very quick, actually came the next day using standard shipping. I recommend Crutchfield to everyone. Side note to Chevrolet Silverado owners, the 3x9 speakers in the front doors, turns out they were a 2 ohm Bose speaker in the driver door and a 3 ohm generic speaker in the passenger. Tweeters in the dash were 4 ohm generics. Do yourself a favor and replace the speakers even if you are not going to do anything else. The rears are my next project, they have very little sound, I guess they are programed to produce some type of bass, but awful job.

So far, so good. Haven't had the ability to get the subs all tied in. But just having the speakers in has been a night-and-day difference in quality and performance.

Great sound and decent install on 2017 F350

Loving these so far! I opted to mount tweeters on the upper door panels in my 2017 F350 as opposed to factory mounting location because I didn't have time to run wiring through the door loom. But the included stealth mounts would have worked very well in the factory location, if anyone is putting these in a newer model Ford pickup. Sound is bright and confident. I'm pushing them with a newer JL amp. Be sure to download Alpine manual from Crutchfield site, there's more there than came in the box with them. I opted to move the jumper in the crossover from +3db to 0db for my application and taste, there's also a -3db option built in.

Have these in the front doors paired w an Alpine ILX-407 head unit and Alpine R2A60F amplifier. Hysterically crisp, powerful and cinematic. Definitely feels like you're in the front row of a concert while driving. Stop what you're researching w other door speakers and purchase these.like yesterday!
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

Extremely impressed
Joe from North East, PA on 2/28/2024
I added these speakers to an Antique Automobile Radio on my 47 Chevy truck and was unsure if these speakers, mounted behind the seat, would be enough. They were better than expected no need for front speakers or an amp. I am extremely impressed with their performance and sound.

Cons: None

Bought these to replace my Alpine S series I had in the back from about 10 years ago. I love the R series. Much cleaner and louder sound. I will be replacing my 4 years old front R series with the new R series to complete the package.

2014 Ram 1500
In my 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab, I installed the Alpine ilx-507 supported by the Alpine Power Pack KTP-445A powering the Alpine R2-S69C speakers. The sound and clarity of the whole setup is super nice. I installed the 6x9s in the front and rear doors and mounted the tweeters in the front door sails and rear door panels above speaker. I am in no hurry for subs though I plan to install soon, just these speakers alone sound superb. Also, the ilx-507 paired with the Alpine DVR-C320R is worth the money and the drive assist alone has really helped keep me alert and attentive to what is going on around me. I went ahead and picked up the Alpine RUX-H02 volume knob, though its seems a little expensive, it was worth it. I highly recommend any of the Alpine products mentioned in this review and plan to add more Alpine products to my set up soon.
Pros: Every product I mentioned is worth the purchase!!
Cons: Honestly after having this set up for about month now, I have nothing bad to say. Guess I will grumble about the knob not linking up sometimes with assistance just to fill this section lol.
