Clean sound through all genre that I listen to while having plenty of punch to them.

Pros: I was able to get a box under my back seat and it met the mid airspace req. subs fit in with an extra 1/2" of clearance.

Cons: No real cons @4 days in.

Shallow, great excursion

Assuming this sub was built to compete directly with the excellent JL Audio TW3. Alpine is the excursion winner at 20mm, and also has the shallowest mounting depth. No other manufacturer is currently even close to the RS-W in the mounting depth/ excursion ratio category. In my singular amateur seat of the pants listening experience the JL TW3 was slightly tighter sounding than the RS-W, but the Alpine still had top tier accurate bass, while playing significantly louder. As an aside for those that haven't gone through the costly experience, a single 12 is the minimum for adequate SQ bass. Second choice would be two 10's, but the air volume (and cost) requirements are nearly doubled. For F150 owners/other people with very tight sub space: The Alpine's 3 1/4" depth for the 12 is the absolute maximum for a full 3/4" MDF enclosure that will fit under the seat in an F150. A JL or any other sub at above 3 1/4 will not fit under the rear seat unless the rear seat is put on risers- putting back seat adult's heads up against the headliner. I also would suggest the grille is a required item to ensure the cone doesn't get damaged during maximum excursion in very tight installations. I waited to install my box until the grille arrived, glad I did If you need a shallow 12 with lots of excursion, this is the current leader. There's a lot of other really great subs out there currently that people will suggest, but ALL of them have less excursion or

Pros: Extremely shallow mounting depth with class leading excursion.

Cons: Pricey. Tricky to get all the wires to lay properly when installing, everything is very tight. Grilles can be hard to get.
