Alpine S2-S40

Love them! I had to drill new holes because the factory holes didn't line up, but that's okay, it was very simple. They sound great!

Not worth your time, money of effort

I bought these for my 2025 Gladiator roll bar because it said they fit and would only require drilling new mounting holes. They might fit someone's Gladiator, but they don't fit mine. They are finally installed after sitting in my back seat for two days and a call to the tech line for guidance. There were no instructions other than drill new mounting holes. The 60+ page Crutchfield book explained how to remove 5 screws on the speaker grate and 3 screws on the OEM speaker.....gee, thanks. Nothing for installation and the tech guy was also no help. I used Nothing that came with them but some screws. So, the speakers are sort of surface mounted on the roll bar sound box because they don't actually fit in the OEM speaker holes, that defeats the design of the sound box. Sound? Fair at best, no real bass because of the gaps. Bottom line.....I would not buy these again, and would not recommend them to a Gladiator owner . This juice just isn't worth the squeeze.

Bronco upgrade

Great budget upgrade for my Bronco B&O. Alpine 4" dash corners, 4" rear pods with polyfill, and a PRV midrange in the dash center.

Excellent sound from such small speakers! I replaced the factory ones in my Ford Bronco and these are a huge upgrade!

Great Upgrade for newer Jeep Wrangler Rollbar

Very decent speakers for the price. I needed to replace the factory 4" speakers in my Jeep Wrangler roll bar. Easy install. Immediately noticed a fuller range in response. Only pushing them with the factor head unit right now, but eventually I plan on integrating an amp and then I know these Alpines will really show thier capabilities. Very satisfied.

Significant upgrade

Installed these in the dash and roll bar on a 2022 Bronco with the standard sound system. While it didn't turn it into an audiophile system (obviously), it did significantly upgrade the sound quality. Easy upgrade for not a lot of money.

Perfect Upgrade!

I used these to upgrade all 3 dash speakers on my 2025 Lexus NX350. They call for 3.5" but these fix just perfect. And they sound great!

Great Sound - bought more

i was looking for a great sounding speaker moderately priced to replace my front dash speakers in my 2022 Ford Bronco. these sound great! i liked them so much i bought a second pair for the rear soundbar and a pair of 6-1/2" component speakers for the kick panels.

Not practical.

blew one in RV after 10 minutes of use. Too small for any practical use.

Bronco Dash solution

Love these in the dash of my 6G Bronco. Soft dome tweeters are the way to go. I had some Kicker CS Series and man did they scream at me.

NNice upgrade to B & O syatem in Ford Bronco

Nice upgrade to my 2023 Bronco in the dash and the rear pods. Really wakes up the B & O system and provides much crisper sound for a minimal investment. Crutchfield is always excellent about sending the correct harnesses and they were a perfect fit.

These speakers are a pretty big upgrade over the factory Bronco Speakers. They are a lot more clear and have better mids and highs. Very easy to install too! Great value for the price.

Much better than oem.

Installed in front dash of 2023 bronco with factory head unit and 600 hz bass blockers. Highs are much more clear than stock speaker. Occasionally, have sounds that are a bit tinny. Not sure if head unit or speakers.

Outstanding Midrange Speakers

Outstanding speakers. I used this to replace the OE dashboard midrange speakers on my 2022 Lexus NX450H+. The OE speakers were dull, lifeless and muddy sounding. These Alpine speakers really bring out the crystal clear vocals and crisp high frequencies. Highly recommended.

Thumbs up 2003 silverado extended cab

These speakers are definitely better then the stock ones that were in the truck. Installation of them was not bad at all. They do require you drill holes because the oem speaker was not bolted in from factory.

Fairly easy installation, for those looking for the instructions, you didn't like them yet, flip the box upside down, there they are, printed on the bottom side of the box, that gave me a chuckle Other than that, they sound great, the adapter was pretty cut and dry, the only warning is the tabs for the connections on the speaker can be a little bit on the weaker side so hook it up carefully and leave it be

I like these a lot!

I have 4 speakers running off amp just 50w and I added these to dash running off head power 16w only just to complement door speakers and big differance. I disconnected doors just to hear these alone and wow these sound good for little 4'' These really helped my front stage sound. They dont play over the doors with 50w but sure did help.

Crisp highs and surprisingly good mid range for the size of the speaker. Great build quality. Very happy with the sound improvement over the stock speakers in the dash.

2023 Ford Bronco

Wow!!!! Perfect for 2023 Bronco Wildtrak Every vehicle that I have owned for the last 20 years has always had its sound system upgraded with apline components, from Type R Speakers, Type R Subs, and Alpine Amps. I was hesitant about buying the Alpine S2-S40 speakers for my 2023 Bronco Wildtrak because there wasn't a Type R 4 inch in the line up, but after replacing the factory B&O 4 inch fatory speakers with Hertz Dicie's, I realized they were just not that Alpine Quality that I was accustomed to, so I purchased just 2 of the Alpine S2-S40 for the roll bar just for testing and Wow They blew the Hertz 4 inch Dicie speakers out of the water with that Alpine Quality Sound. My Wildtrak Sound System is now comprised of : Alpine 8 inch SBR-S8-4 enclosed Type R subwoofer in the Rear Alpine 6.5 inch Type R Hi Res Speakers in the Front Kick Panels (5 Stars) Alpine 4 inch Type S S2-S40 Hi Res Speakers in the Roll Bar (5 Stars) 3 Hertz Dicie Speakers: Right,Left Dash Corners and Center Channel (soon to all be replaced with 3 more S2-S40's) All on the factory B&O amp because I haven't decidied on wich Alpine amp to install yet, and believe me it sounds amazing. So I could almost imagine what it would sound like once the amp and (3) other S2-S40's are installed.
